Darling Kat... Bart adorned! Lol... I had a few. Actually sent Scottbee his first one and a 5V Bart too. Oddly, Jason's (cybervex) site still exists:

http://eboxmods.blogspot.com/search...d-max=2010-01-01T00:00:00-05:00&max-results=1

I know! Amazing, eh? I wonder if people are still ordering them. I remember Scottbee well. I learned SO much from his thread (and bought about a thousand Rivas.... )

(Bart no longer produces much more than a wisp, but he stays in my stash forever.)

Welp, Louise jumped without me, so I guess I'll have to toddle off with the cutie pie all by myself..... sigh.

Okay, I just did it. $31.95 and then $5 shipping. Not bad. Missed out on the evape deal, but I'm okay. You Kat, are you in.

What am I in??? You ditched me, Louise??

:lol:kat................................................................................ I'm cryinnnn:lol:

and i shall not ask why. ;)

No ego adapter in my kit from evape, their package was not the boxed version of the full kit, separate items and the power block is .5A unlike the 1A that comes in the boxed version.

No complaints though on my end. :)

Their customer service is great, I bought some coils later on Monday that got lost in the USPS and he is sending out a new package tomorrow.

The same was seen here for the second 20w IStick I ordered through them when Smartvape was out. Smartvape sent the complete factory kit while the small box evape.us sent was a little squashed up with the cord and other things wrapped up separately. They simply take the individual items and toss them together and call it a kit while the 500mA was likely for another eleaf product if not for the Mini version.

I am really liking my GSAir too. For the first few tanks I thought the flavor was muted, but it could have been my juice or I didn't prime the coil right. I am on my second coil now, after using the 1st one for about a month. I would put the vapor production about equal to the Nautilus mini. The taste on this 2nd coil is fantastic. The vape is very airy too. I also have a Delta 16 which is also excellent on the IStick. Too many tanks with too many coils, but I like them all!

I created a thread to collect up GS Air experiences. Maybe you want to comment there.

I'm kinda surprised that there's so few vendors carrying the 30 watt. Maybe they're still trying to get some. I was gonna suggest Sweet Vapes (thats where I got mine) but they are out of stock too. Vapordna has them in stock and there is an ebay vendor selling them at $40 including shipping. For the people who have the 30 watt or plan on getting one, do you intend to get the 50 watt as well? I have started vaping at higher wattages than I normally do but I still don't see myself ever needing anything more than 30 at this point. I haven't even gone past 20 yet.

No ditching intended. Just thought we were leaping independently. Exhaustion was also a factor & I needed to leap before 11 pm EST to get my beauty sleep. [emoji5]️

Hope your toddle found you a new blue baby, Thelma!![emoji6]

Til the next ride...

Glad I ordered my red/pink one from Evape late Monday night. It arrived today! Here we go again with hard to find Isticks-30W's this time.

I'm more than glad that I bought mine, especially at such a good deal. I was highly skeptical about the 20 a couple of weeks ago because of some 20 owners criticizing it so badly. But all that changed once it was in hand. So makin the first good deal on the 30 was a "no brainer". Plus orderin the 50's at a good price is a "no brainer". I'm tired of foolin with chargin replaceable batteries all the time. I know these are disposable units, but we've had vv3's for a year now and they still charge and work like new. I have enough confidence in solid state circuitry to think these will last plenty long enough to get my money's worth from them. And when they die, I may rebuild them. They may end up bein a Frankenmod and lose some performance, but by then the
50 vlll or 80's and 100's will be out. After all the skepticism about the 30 has been quenched, we'll probably be debating the 50 and it's anticipated performance. I would think the output would be even smoother from 30 to 50w. Anyway the 30 is a super deal so if you're considering one, I say buy it now. All the reviews are good and it's cheap..........And order a 50 if you're able :)

The 30W was originally not supposed to be released in China until January 15th, the 50W ten days later. Since they were shipping from US vendors on the 12th, I would simply think there is a limited supply at the moment. By the end of next week, I would expect to see them everywhere.

Just to complicate things further, the Provari is 800hz and not 100hz - the Evic S is 100hz...

Thank you, sir. I tried to confirm the ProVari's frequency but had difficulty locating it again. My brain seldom remembers little details like that anymore... So 27.5x faster frequency in the iStick 30W. :)

If you're comfortable soldering to a standard 18650, you can drop one right in the iStick.

I also think a supply of these 1600 - 2600mAh LiPos in 18650 format will be available here in the States in the coming year. Should make things very simple for us.

It's possible there is supply available, with some companies not stocking yet until they blow out the 20w stock. For example, it is surprising to not see Mount Baker Vapor carrying it on day 1. Yet, the site shows the 20w still in stock. Since eleaf priced the 30w so low, they made it very hard for the companies with existing 20w stock - without having to lose money to move from the 20w to the 30w. That's what I think is holding some companies up.

And then of course there is my local B&M selling their 20w stock for $75.

I think the next big opportunity for the manufacturers is to ship iStick form factor/size, with replaceable battery, with first battery included. Whoever does that can, I think, steal some iStick thunder.

Gotta revise my post a third time :) I need to pay attention. I don't know why I didn't do the math myself to start. Probably because I was so caught up with your fine review. Thanks again for the review and chart.

The blue iStick 30W I ordered from evape.us on January 10th arrived in the mail yesterday.

It's just as spiffy as everyone says, but---unfortunately---mine is defective and will have to be returned for exchange.

I use Aspire BVC tanks (Nauti mini, K-1, and CE5S) on the three iStick 20W units I keep downstairs on my desk, each set to 10 watts. They perform beautifully. When I put any of those exact tanks on the iStick 30W, set to the same 10 watts, they vape for a minute or so, then the over-temp chip sensor kicks in and shuts off the iStick. The display shows a little symbol (presumably the chip) with the word "Protection," and the iStick won't fire until the chip cools (or the sensor thinks it has, anyway) to below 70° C, which takes about 20 seconds in my case. The iStick will then fire, but shuts off again after two or three draws.

Since many iStick 30W users will never see the over-temp chip display, I've attached a pic:

iStick30 overtemp.jpg

If I set the power to 6 watts on the iStick 30, this doesn't happen. Also, the iStick's case remains completely cool to the touch, so the problem could be actual overheating of the chip or faulty sensor circuitry. Doesn't matter which, though---my lovely new iStick has to go back to evape for an exchange. I've already sent a contact message through evape's site. Now the waiting begins for an RMA authorization.

Oh well, c'est la vie! I should get my Cloupor Mini from gearworst any day now, so all is not lost on the new toys front.

It is not a big deal really, just use a quality iron & solder. Not your torch and silver paste. :p
