I have had 2 istick's for a couple of months and on both the threads are already stripping out very frustrating. Any suggestions on what to do to be able to keep using them? This is something that needs to be addressed on the build. Other wise they have been great

Mine is one of the first run production models, and the threads are fine!:) I think people do strip them by cross threading, and over tightening them too much. The new 30Watt models are stainless steel, but you can bet someone will strip the threads on them too! My friends wife has tore up many,by over thightening, and cross threading them. I keep telling her to just "lightly seat" the tank. It's not a lug nut on your cars wheel. Your not gonna die if it loosens up a little!:D

Thats exactly what happens. I stripped the threads on two different MVP's by over tightening Nautilus tanks.

Same here Stosh, I lurked or as my wife sez loomed over the threads for a while prior to joining. Needed to make sure everyone here was as crazy as me, before associating with them :)

How'd we do, mud.

I quit in April and didn't join ecf until Sept! You can celebrate both dates SUSAZ

Seems we have many celebratories, eh? First vape. Last cig. First vape with no cigs. Found ECF. Joined ECF. First post. First bling.

Wow, reading too many K.D.'s posts, lol.

:?: Have I been too quiet? Too noisy? Chatty Cathy will be back, I promise. I've been busy counting my centavos that I won from yesterday's Stupor Bowl pool.

Why in the hell does anyone shake the iStick or any mod for that matter to the point that makes 'button rattle' such a huge issue for some? If you have nothing better to whine about you don't have squat.

You make Kitty scared. (this one.)

The firing buttons on both my iStick 30Ws rattle---both side-to-side and top-to-bottom---like a 100-piece marching band. I haven't yet found a fix that works to silence them, but I will...

I think some have said that the silicone rubber case will quiet them.

That's why they make the buttons rattle. Focus. on. the. rattle..

:D That's it, rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

And yes, siliconia, at it's best, will eliminate most noises. (other than the "oooooooos and ahhhhhhhs" and the "where's my lint brush?") ;)

It's recommended by some to do it once--early on.

But after that, it doesn't matter. Li-Ion batteries have no memory, poor things.

CRAFT. Insidious I tell ya.

My wife has a saying for people like that, "they need a war!"

It's also a lot easier to unseat the tank if it hasn't been seated so tightly, as I'm finding out early on. :D I seated it really tight the first time I put it on, and just about had myself a ... moment when I tried (and eventually...EVENTUALLY...succeeded) to unseat it for the first refill. Yeah, I made faces the entire time. Blood-rushing-to-my-head and contorted faces.

Just got a 30W a couple hours ago, and I have a performance question....
I started vaping on it with an Atlantis, airway 3/4 open, lowered to 25 watts. Planning on switching over to Protank 3 in a little while, just to see how the iStick performs with a different tank attached. Any recommended setting changes? (airway/voltage/wattage)

25W = ????? Don't know, I was too scared to try it. And then very soon afterwards, very glad I didn't try it.
20W = a sensation not unlike pouring a full ashtray in my mouth
15W = High five!!!! Great success!!!!
Didn't go any lower than 15W, so I can't say how it performs on the low end. Might check it out later, though.
