i hear ya, my order was close to $200 buying vape gear at the time another $20 +tx was not much more, it came down to my needs, the form factor on the 30w cant be beat, it fits in my pockets, easy to hold, im always near my computer or a plug to charge, and now having 2 30w i can charge one while vaping on the other.
i have the mvp2 and used to luv it but i now hate holding onto it, its heavy and big, the istick 30w spoiled me .
my next big vape gear buy will probably be in the summer and i hope by then there will be affordable temp controlled mods as i just seen the evlov 25 temp chip.

vincom, would you mind terribly sharing a link or two? :)

Here ya go, mudslide:

Exactly....you can't beat the 30w-er's.....the battery lasts a LONG time too.

I don't know why I bought four 50w-er's.............:D

I just got an EGO One tank for my istick, thought I'd mention that this is a great combination. Looks and works awesome. Way better than the kanger tanks I had been using on the istick. This is a really great vape. I'll have to check back in once I've used it for a while, but it's looking like my new tank of choice.

a sale at Mount Baker Vapor, where I bought two of them for a net cost, shipping included,
of $62.08, or $31.04 each. Color choices are black and silver. These are complete kits, with the charger and 510-ego converter. To get the discount and free shipping on orders over $50, use the coupon code vapingcheap.

Woke this morning to find that one of my VV V3's was "dead". Thought "OK...great time to check out a VV4."

Cheapest I could find was $45.95 + shipping  (I mean we're talking only 6-15Watts and 1000mAh!!??!!)

So went to MBV to order my 4th iStick (in SILVER...the only color I don't have). I used code vaporfrombaker which also ended up being $31.04 for the Full Kit.

Interestingly...while "padding" the cart to get to the $50 for FREE shipping the vaporfrombaker also deducted 10% on each item I added.

I've been waiting for the DNA 25 for months. $40 on EVOLV's website. DATASHEET not available yet. :-(

The DNA 40 clones ($30 for just the chipset/charger) seem to be better received than EVOLV's authentic.

I currently (and for the foreseeable future) have plenty of power with a 30W mod. I think I'll let things play out a couple of months and see where things land. Technologically, the only things that make the DNA 25/40 chipsets somewhat special are the temp protection (TP) and their ability to output flat DC voltage from 1-9V (1-25/40W). TP is a great feature for most vapers.

Bought a 50w istick as my sig 50 broke and had to send it back so I wouldn't be on my old zmax too long and they will both be here tomorrow because of great service from the store I bought the sig from. Looking forward to trying the istick got a lemo coiled and some diy liquid waiting to go and will be able to compare directly to a very good 50w mod which the sig is despite the fault mine had.

those smilies are ones you have to insert like an image ;) they're not from the forum

and thanks entered for the contest :D

also, i forget who asked about using a 510-510 adapter....personally i always use adapters (I get the 510/ego ones and then use a beauty ring to hide the threading) because i've had so many leaky tanks, the adapter just helps to add a bit more protection in case of leakage so it won't get to the mod that easily.....
and i use a universal lanyard around the beauty ring for the istick ;)

It's difficult to convey to people how ergonomic and comfortable to hold the 30W-iStick is unless they actually (literally) have held one in their hand.

I LOVED my MVP2's (had 3 of them). But when I got my (first) iStick...I PIF'd them all. In comparison...they felt like BRICKS!
