These are especially good for sampling/dripping. You take the cartridge off and replace it with a drip tip (510 style)

The Joye 510 attys are esp. good because they have metal mesh at the base beneath the bridge around the ceramic pot that holds the coil. That keeps eliquid close to the coil. Other 510 attys sometimes have only a 'washer-like' base with no mesh and dry hits are possible.
The one thing to know is that if you use a strong flavor like menthol, cherry or cinnamon, it will be hard to get rid of it, so having a few different ones is a good idea. I find coffee flavor can clean up some of the stronger flavors but not hang around itself. Also having some plain VG (diluted with H2O 80:20) or PG is another good way to clear flavors from the coil (unless it is menthol, then that won't work).
When dripping keep the coil wet.
As soon as you notice a drop in flavor is when to add a few more drops. The Joye atty with the mesh can take about 4-5 drops without flooding. And sometimes these coils can have a primer when first using - suggest again, plain VG/PG and only puff don't inhale when breaking one in. A few puffs should do it.
