Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

Reading back, I see that the istick doesn't let you lock in your settings (minor flaw. With a few devices I've had that do that, I sometimes accidentally change it to 6.0.)

Does it have a way to turn it off such as the 5 quick hits?

Although there is no way to lock the settings, the up and down buttons are not that sensitive. I click mine with my finger nail. I carry mine in my pocket, purse, etc and have not yet had a problem with accidently changing the settings. YMMV

I do have to give Smoke Evolution a big thumbs up. I had some on preorder with them before doing the group buy with a few others from Vapor Tek. I emailed to cancel my order at SE around 9PM the evening that we placed the order with VT. I not only had a reply but also my credit within 15 minutes. Excellent customer service IMO :thumb:

Yep... I had the same Quick Replies from them also.

I wanted to Change mine from Black to Silver. They got back to me in about 20 Minutes.

I forgot that I could put an RDA on the thing and measure at the posts of the RDA. DUH!

1.7 Ohm single coil, voltage set to 3.4 V, battery indicator is one segment down from full. Averaging meter reads 3.35V. Frequency measures 48.5 Hz, somewhat faster than the 33.3 of the Vamo.

Upped the voltage to 5.5V (max) and the meter reads 5.44V, Frequency at 48.5Hz and Duty Cycle of 98%

Good post. Thanks for measuring that. I'm betting that P.Busardo will also verify what pcrdude first said, that the iStick displays/uses Vavg rather than Vrms. My subjective taste tests using an older Vamo (one that lets you use Vavg or Vrms mode) also confirm the iStick is using & displaying Vavg. It's not displaying the wrong voltage, it's just not what other devices are saying/using and there is no set in stone standard unfortunately. Just makes it harder to compare settings between devices & users, but not black magic or defective products.

My iStick at 5.0 watts with a 1.8 ohm Aspire BDC (NOT Aspire-Nautilus!) carto indicates 3.0v (correct for Vavg) but hits/tastes like the Vamo when set at 8 watts and using Vrms, or the Vamo at 5.0 watts when set to use Vavg.

My Spinners set to 3.8 or 3.9v hits/tastes like the Vamo at 5.0 watts (Vrms), my SID at 5.0 watts (probably Vrms), and my VTR set at 5.0 watts (again, probably Vrms). I can't get there (taste/hit) with the iStick and a 1.8ohm Aspire (NOT Aspire-Nautilus!) but I CAN just about get there with a 2.1 ohm Aspire BVC (NOT Aspire-Nautilus!) on the iStick at 4.0 watts (3.0Vavg displayed/used).

For what it's worth. Below 5 watt vapers, I don't know what to tell ya but you can probably "get there" with high ohm coils.

Still waiting for a Kayfun with premade coils.

Well...GrimmGreen and IndoorSmokers both said that the Nautilus with BVC coils had replaced their Kayfuns for daily use.

It seems to not be compatible with the E-Smart 510 BCC Clearomizers? I tried one this morning and it just kept saying "no atomizer". I tried a second one to make sure it wasn't just a faulty one, and same thing.

    5 "fixes" to try:

Has anyone used this with a Nautilus Mini and if so how high can will it let you go in watts mode.

Ya' might want to check out peraspera's chart #414:

Hello folkses! I finally received my black iStick today from the suspect ebay seller. Seems to be functioning properly. The packaging is quite different than the one I received from VapeNW/ebay. This one came in a flimsy cardboard sleeve type box and did contain the 510 adapter. But they mailed it in a simple padded envelope so it didn't survive the USPS ride very well. It was not very well protected so I was concerned. The one I got from VapeNW came in a really nice hard cardboard box that was shrink wrapped, extra padding in a nice padded envelope. (It is probably the kit box but without the 510 and charger.) We will see if this thing performs as it should in comparison to my other one. I just want it to work well and to have no further dealings with this seller. God forbid I'd have a return issue!

I don't. I've used the same tanks on my eVic Easy Head, and on regular eGo batteries, a variety of them. The iStick is the only device they don't seem to work on.

That is a shame. It has to be a connection issue if the iStick is reading no atomizer though.

My VTR won't read atomizer with my vivi nova tanks unless I use a 510/ego adapter

The best and easiest solution--grab one of those circuit board spacers from MadVapes.

    http://www.madvapes.com/circuit-boa...636b55fb&acc=70efdf2ec9b086079795c442636b55fb

You just drop one into the 510 well (directly onto the pin) and you're golden. It fixes all atomizer>battery connectivity issues. Order a few of them--they are tiny and easily get lost...

Katya, with my massive, amazing, and ultra comprehensive scientific background.... (uh huh. yeah no. I don't have any.)

I think that the filler material once wetted with vliquid will not have the ability to shed any of its bits. I do understand your concerns tho, abstolutely!

I'm also recalling someone posting that the screen was to stop the liquid from going north into one's mouth. Anyone else remember those posts? :?:

Wow katya , never heard of those before, thanks for posting. :)

I don't want to cause panic or spread misinformation... I really don't know what the heck that thing is. It may be perfectly fine. It just makes me a bit queasy. I'd like to know more about it, that's it. In the meantime, I'm sticking with the devil I know. :D

    :D Hiya Kat, darling!

That's what I read, too. Who knows.

I do. IMHO, that's just pure speculation. That screen is like a sieve--how is it going to prevent the eliquid from going into one's mouth? I remember that SmokeStik cartos used to have a screen to prevent hot juice from squirting into your mouth, but it was a cloth screen. And it was a PITA so they got rid of it, because all it did was make refilling a chore... Years ago.

I know that a lot of people like them, but I have doubts about that ceramic (?) mesh inside. It apparently crumbles and otherwise disintegrates.

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...thoughts-ceramic-wicks-bvcs.html#post14077432

    Makes me nervous. :)

I'm not any more nervous about the use of a bioceramic wick than...
the unknown processes, handling or ingredients in all my juices or
whether or not when I buy 18 mg nic juice it actually is 18 and not actually 8 or 88 or
whether or not high temp kanthal releases toxins as it degrades or
whether or not this PG stuff or VG stuff is "harmful" at the levels inhaled.

As fast as this industry changes with the onslaught of devices.....
My Naughty Mini will be obsolete and replaced by something better in 6 mos anyway.

What you are seeing is the Difference between a "Presentation Box" and a "White Box". Most OEM's give Retailers a choice of the two. The White box being a Little Less Expensive.

I personally prefer the "White Box" when I get things. Because most of the time, I just Chuck the chuck the Box once I know that the Item Works. And it seems like Kinda a Waste to make a Fancy Box that I'm just going to Recycle.

But Some Like/Want the "Presentation Box".
