@KelogGes:

Actually the istick ($40) + silicone cases (2 x $2 = $4) = $44.

$44 x .85 = $37.40.

It looks like the $2 shipping is the "culprit". At least I think it's the culprit. I thought shipping would be free. Maybe it's the cost of upgrading from first class to priority? (Haven't looked at the website, so don't really know.)

You selected the wrong shipping option.

After clicking "Go To Checkout" you are taken to the shipping options page, where you are given 3 choices:

1. USPS First Class
First Class Shipping Charge for orders under $14
$2.00

2. USPS Priority Mail Upgrade
Do not select if your order is over $70 or your order includes a Starter kit, these get an auto upgrade
$4.00

3. Free Shipping Offer
Free First Class on all orders $14 - $69. Orders that include a Starter Kit or over $70 ship free Priority Mail
$0.00

You need to click the third option to get the free shipping.

The rest of the numbers are correct on their end. The $44 is for the iStick kit AND the silicone covers. Chances are that Rocky Mountain Vapors will either refund the $2.00 or upgrade your shipping from first class to priority.

Hey guys and gals! I have some worries which I'll translate into questions. And I was hoping someone here could translate that into an answer!

Is it harmful to the life of the battery to charge every night before I go to sleep?

Does the lack of a full charge cycle harm them? As in charging while half the battery still remains?

Does leaving it plugged in over night while I sleep harm it?

Does doing a quick charge not to full capacity hurt it?

Stay vaping my friends.

Hi.

I'll agree with KelogGes, for the most part, your questions answer with "no".

First off, every battery should be charged first thing when you get it. That first charge is important towards the service life of the battery, and most manufacturers don't take the time or expense to charge the batteries other than the natural chemical charge.

If your iStick could go 2 days, then I wouldn't charge daily. Other than that, it doesn't really matter in the long run. In a year's time, you might only get 5 hours instead of 6 hours of use. My thought is there will be something else out there much better to replace it when the time comes.

I've had my iStick for 6 months. Usually charge it nightly and overnight. I do have it on a marble ashtray (what else do you use old ashtrays for now, lol)

<btw, the 6 month iStick 20w is working great, all day on a charge, still get 3 or 4 phantom hits a day and the threads are still poor, but functioning>

Of course, this is answering your query assuming you mean an iStick or other mods that have a LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff.) (Once the voltage drops to 3.7 or 3.6, it blinks to charge and won't allow further use.) A unregulated battery, like a 18650 that you would use in a mechanical mod has no LVC. You must use a lot of care with these to never let them get too discharged. There are great threads on the care and feeding of "naked" batteries.

But these devices with the built in battery and circuitry takes the majority of the risk out of the equation, as it does with laptops, cell phones, etc.

Thanks spaceballsrules;

I tried the third option first but it did not seem to take it
and led me to choose a STARTER KIT that did not exist?

so not knowing and having never used the Rocky Mountain Vapes web site I could only assumed the the coupon code would take care of the 2 dollar shipping charge

Also someone here posted that the coupon code only gives free first class mail

I tried to call so far this morning and could only leave a voice message to call me back to Dave who I guess is the owner

I will let you know the outcome after I talk to to them!

FINALLY TALKED TO DAVE

DAVE is refunding the $2 shipping CHARGE

I guess it might have been my fault when I clicked on

3. Free Shipping Offer

This opened a window and said something about KITS which I next click on
Which next opened another window where you could select a a vaping kit which I cancelled because it did not take me to The 30W iStick but to several different kits to chose from, and I did not want to spend a lot of time going through several more pages in search of what I was trying to order again and was confused about using the coupon code and how it worked.

Dave said he would try to recreate the problem I had to see where it led me too etc

FYI I am very computer knowledgeable and maybe this was my problem LoL

I know what a vaping KIT IS and a single Battery generally IS NOT A KIT the way I think of KITs
and this is why I chose first class shipping and thought the coupon code would take care of the shipping besides the discount

What was said is that the free priority shipping for starter kits does not apply to iSticks kits. The free first class shipping comes with all orders over $14. You don't need a coupon code for that, but you do have to read the shipping choices and select the correct one.
The coupon code is a separate issue. It gives you 15% off your total price, which you received.

So the only mistake is that you chose the wrong shipping method, and were charged $2 extra. But again, that was not their mistake.

Hopefully you were able to get it all straightened out. In my experience, they have really great customer service. Mine shipped out yesterday and is supposed to be here in Florida by Saturday. Hopefully you will get yours soon as well!

Well, the 50w came. I stuck it on a charger until it no longer flashed (fully charged). Then I took it out and used it.

IMHO as long as you allow about three seconds before hitting it (press the button, hold and wait) this thing can't really be improved upon.

But it does that. Just so you know.

I've been using it for about 5 hours now and it shows no drop in voltage.

To celebrate its arrival I made 10 ml of Chefs Vapours English Trifle. Even without steeping/ageing this is great on this device.

Blimey. I remember 18650 attys and batteries that just died because liquid got into them.

This is WAY better, even at low voltages.

HOORAH!

I guess that would depend on your atty. My 50's don't require a 3 second delay to ramp up with my attys. Glad you are enjoyin it. :)

Great to hear Pipeman! I am actually still having fun with my 3 20 watters. No problems whatsoever and going on almost 6 months.

I have an iStick 20w and a "smart 20". Both are great - but oddly the kosher iStick doesn't work so well with the GS-Air (they were literally made for each other).

Strange ohm/volt errors occur. Fine with the "smart 20", also fine when using the Nautilus Mini. Weird, huh?

I haven't tried any of the other Eleaf products. I'm happy with my 6 Nautilus minis. :)

So you press the button and it just works without a short delay? There's definitely a delay on my kit. I just press and wait before inhaling (to avoid disappointment). :)
