Hey Gang....Has anyone tried gutting a 20 watt istick brain and redepositing the entrails into another container?.... Maybe even adding a pair of Efest 2500 mAh 18650s in a die cast box?...With all of the D.O.A.s from a bad(pick one or more as needed)510 threads/dead battery/lost screen/bad usb port/not charging ect...Any tech type folks can chime in here....The surgery is pending,subject in under,I'm ready to cut...Here?..No....Here?.Nope..Maybe ..Here....Vapercatz....

I'd really like to build something, my bad 30w and 50w were replaced under warranty and I fixed another 50, but I will gladly accept any donors for building a FrankenMod.

Well Bikenstein,I have a 20 watter that was given to Me from the local vape shop....I am new on here and joined because I quit smoking 30 days ago as of today!!! with a Zigzag e cig(ego type,ZZ branded) and not knowing about the "World of Vaping" I looked at some vids on Y/T and got the box mod bug...I was on a mission to find spare parts for some builds and was making the rounds asking for dead batteries to use and one Guy gave Me the 20 said it wont turn on....so...If its broke,and free.... I opened it up and replaced the battery with a radio shack 18650,not knowing better,the old batt was wired in so I did the swap and put it back together and it worked!I only had the clearomizers to run on it so I puffed on it all day!....up and down worked in both modes....Then more study on batteries and a few posts about bad things happening I started worrying about the wrong battery, removed that battery and bought a efest 2500 mAh and hard wired it in and it was alive again!...The battery was charged when I did the swap and it lasted two days of puffin' then I ran it down till the lock screen came up,tried to charge it and it would not take one...So apart again....I'm getting good at it now!....I carefully placed it on My charger and charged it up, then back together...Again...For two more days of use...Got tired of that quick and went back to the shop that gave it to Me and bought a 30 watt job in blue!....So I'm going to do an "I'gorE'stick"....Pic to come asap....Vapercatz....

Any thoughts about doubling the mAh. thing with two batteries?...would/could the brain survive the power boost with longer run times between charges?....Vapercatz....

Dont think its a clone. When it stopped working I contacted the ebay seller I bought it from and they told me it is warrantied thru Ismoka.
The good news is its been performing flawlessly all day. Have a lemo Drop on it vaping it at 12 watts and it is working perfectly.
Glad you were able to fix it. They could take a little more care when assembling them and have fewer problems.
ACK! I waited almost six weeks for my TIE DYE silly cone istick covers to take the slow boat from China. They arrived today and were supposed to look like this:
instead, they look like the one on the bottom left in the pic below. STRIPES. Good thing it was just for using at the beach.
I decided, what the heck, I may as well contact Fasttech and just see if we can work out this "tie dye/rainbow stripe" discrepancy.
Now a nice girl named "Andrea" writes to me EVERY night while I am sleeping, and I write back to her EVERY morning when I get up. We really are not getting anywhere, but I think we are going to be pen pals for a while. Apparently in Slow tech land there are no rainbows and they missed the 60s and don't know a THING about tie dyed hippies. I've sent her some pictures to try and bridge the language barrier. She tells me they don't sell T-shirts or VW busses at FastTech, I must order those from somewhere else.
We'll work this out by Christmas, I am just SURE of it. But I needed the covers for the BEACH. Maybe next year.

Nan, I have a app on my phone that is a great motivator! It show that as of today I have saved $2538.38 which breaks down as: would have spent $3588.07 on stinkies at same rate had I continued with them. Minus $1049.69 spent in the last year on vape gear and juices. Alot of which has been given to new recruits to our army. Leaving me with a still in pocket savings of $2500 and change. Looks like I have paid for Christmas alreadyThis is my logic, too, Cheech! One week, $65 a carton for me. That's two isticks, or thereabouts, each week. Or 6 GS Air "M"s.
