Well thanks to roxynoodle, I must have one of these things!

Can one of you tell me the specs on these? I saw the 5.5volt/20watt limit, but I haven't found the amp ceiling or lowest resistance coil it will fire. From what one person was saying, it looks like it might be 4amps? Sorry, searching this thread got me nowhere, and it's too long to read through all 1,700+ posts.

It has a 4 amp limit and

2200mAh internal Li-Ion Battery
Variable Wattage (VW) up to 20W and Variable Voltage (VV) from 3v – 5.5v
Bright OLED display
510 threaded connection
Power on/off: Press the button for five times to turn the istick on and off.
10-sec Protection: Maximum of 10 seconds per drag.
Atomizer Short-Circuit Protection: If atomizer short-circuits, the OLED screen show “Atomizer Short”.
Low-Voltage Protection: Once the battery is below 3.3V the OLED screen will show “Lock”, which means its time to recharge.
Unlock the Low-voltage Protection: The iStick begins working again once it reaches 3.65V.
Low power Alert: If the battery’s power is lower than 10%, the power symbol on the screen will flash.
Atomizers from 1ohm to 3ohm capable
Pass-Thru vaping while charging

My Istick arrived today from Avid Vaper. They send 2nd day delivery. Shipped on 29 Sep.
Was your Istick charged when you got it? When you plug it into the charger, is there a light when it is fully charged or just the line of bars?
It really is smaller than I thought it would be. Direction are so small I can't read it.
Mine was almost fully charged out of the box. Blinks while charging, but I wasn't paying attention this morning when I unplugged it to see what it does when fully charged.

That's what I wanted to hear....so far the the only topper I have used on this with any success is a Kayfun 3.1....it's a stellar vape, but it feels like a boat anchor when I put it in my pocket. I need something when I'm out and about that doesn't pull my pants down...Thanks

But why? It's quite Idol-lic actually... ;)

I am switching off alot on which finger I use. The iStick feels so nice in my hand that I move it around alot, so when its time to hit the button, I just use the finger thats closest.

Aha, a new one. "Vape to taste" and "Fire by proximity". Me likes.

Thanx for the reply!

So to get 20 watts out of these your coil will have to be between 1.0-1.25ohms, I can live with that.

Anyone have an idea on battery life at 20watts? I know, lots of variables there for an accurate answer. I'd just like to have an idea of whether or not this thing would make a decent out-and-about PV. If I can only take 50 or so 4 second hits at 20 watts, then it probably won't work for me....100+ hits would be nice!

Don't forget that iStick has a pass-through!

Yeah, I saw that, nice feature for sure. But this would strickly be an out and about device for me, and 2200mah should be perfect, I was just wondering if there had been any talk of what real-world performance these were delivering.

Again, long thread, and I'm kinda lazy. I wish I knew how to make the most of thread-search tools. I usually have better luck finding what I want on this forum with Google, LOL!

You know that you can Search a Specific ECF Thread with Google, Right?

Just put this after what you are searching for...

My iStick arrived today. It came in an Eleaf box with the eGo adapter floating loose and with a separate Joyetech box with the charging cable (no wall wart). I chose 'black' for color and it looks quite nice.

No defects or issues. Came mostly charged.

First issue to discuss - bad hands:
A number of folks for whatever reason have bad hands. OA, old age, whatever - I am in the OA group, and for example cannot depress the fire button on a MVP2.0 more than a couple times without pain.

This is not an issue with the iStick in any way! Using thumb, index finger, side of thumb, side of index finger - all of these methods work well, and pain-free. This is a very easy press button. It does not stick out very far, so pressing my mistake shouldn't be a big worry, but those with bad hands could use this as an all-day device without issues (unless you are much worse than I). It is also small, lightweight, with no sharp edges. Plan on using a finger-nail to make adjustments if you have large fingers like I do.

Next issue - low wattage vaping:
I use a 65PG/35VG 24mg juice. Dark, various shades of vanilla. This juice burns (tastes burnt) rather easy. I use a Nautilus with BVC coils, both 1.6 and 1.8ohm. I also use the 'Silo tank', using the same coils. These three toppers are the only ones I have tried thus far. Coils reported 1.5, 1.7, and 1.8ohms on the iStick (typical variance).

I can vape all three toppers at the lowest available setting with zero negative taste impact. Lowest setting on device reads 3.0v @ 5.2watts @ 1.7ohms. All three toppers can be raised and vaped nicely at 8 watts. With no taste hit, burning, or flavor change.

I am comparing this to my ProVari 2.5 set at 4.0v - which is roughly my daily normal setting - 3.8v to 4.0v on my ProVari. (SideNote: if I set the iTaste to 4.0v all three toppers taste too hot, not quite burnt, but getting close)

The point is, *I* can vape on this device comfortably with my normal toppers, coils, and juice - and as I will be doing so at a fairly low setting on the device, I expect to get very long use-times between charges!

Closing thoughts:

Do not buy this expecting to compare it to a high-end device like a ProVari, etc. Yes, this is a nice device, yes, I would buy it again~! But it (to me) is of the same build quality of an MVP2.0, iTaste VV3.0, etc. In my mind this is a fine replacement for the MVP2.0, moreso as I can use this device whereas I cannot use the MVP2.0 (bad hands). As others have pointed out above me, rather than focusing on whether or not the iStick reads accurately or not, simply learn to set it at a range of settings that taste good to you. The fact that it is not at the same settings as my ProVari has no meaning to me. I will simply charge it, add a topper, coil, and juice of my choice, and start vaping at it's lowest settings and raise the settings if/when I feel the need to do so.

This is a great small device. Whether used for out and about, or as a backup carry device, or as a primary device is up to the user.

Thank you, Black is fine by me lol... I'll end up putting a wrap on it anyway! Has anyone gotten a wrap for theirs? Anyone other than Jwraps selling them?

I'd love to get a case for this, something like the Shark Skin for the Vapor Shark. Are those jwraps any good? I've never heard of them.
