Hey Salem, I'm curious as to where you are acquiring 2.1 ohm BVC coils for the new nautilus mini. I see there are some potentials on FT but they don't look Aspire authentic. I've only been able to locate 1.6 and 1.8 ohm thus far. TIA!

Oops, my BVCs are 1.8 ohm. My BDCs are 2.1 ohm. The BVCs are available in 2.1 ohm because I just ordered some through a coOp.

I ordered one from them as well on the 19th, it should be in today.

I also went with blue as I've got plenty of SS mods, didn't want black and that "red" looks pink to me.
Just guessing, but I think the finish on the case won't be very durable. I can see wraps being made for this mod.

Nod nod, the chart was, as it notes, made by using Ohm's law, but no one has tested the istick yet with the eq needed to see the actual accuracy. What we do know is that it has been confirmed that it doesn't step down - something I figured out on my own by Friday while trying to vape a fully charged battery with 1.4 coil at 7 watts. For the price it's a good device in any case for me - but it's not cool to see someone blowing off the 5 watt guy who noted that it isn't going to work for him as if he was crazy or stupid, when he is in fact correct.

Thank you for that. I'm sure it is a great device for medium to high wattage vapers, just not those of us who really want less than 4.1 volts (or so). And then, that only applies to a fresh battery. Maybe I'll get some 3 ohm coils and a dedicated clearo to vape on when the thing is freashly charged, until it discharges to the 3.7 voly plateau. IMHO, it just isn't the right way to design a variable voltage device.

If you are seeking a better design, You may want to look at the higher end mods. These are inexpensive and absolutely awesome for this price range in the opinion of many including myself.

What chip does this one use? How long does the battery last? What is the minimum atty that can be used?

1-3.0 ohm atty, charge lasts most of us all day. Chip is proprietary no info available.

Good info here http://spinfuel.com/eleaf-istick-review/

Note-

Features:

2200mAh Li-Ion Battery
VV/VW – up to 20W and 3v – 5.5v
OLED display
510-Threads
Power on/off: Press the button for five times to turn the iStick on and off.
10-sec Protection: Maximum of 10 seconds per drag.
Atomizer Short-Circuit Protection: If atomizer short-circuits, the OLED screen show “Atomizer Short”.
Low-Voltage Protection: Once the battery is below 3.3V the OLED screen will show “Lock”, which means its time to recharge.
Unlock the Low-voltage Protection: The iStick begins working again once it reaches 3.65V.
Low power Alert: If the battery’s power is lower than 10%, the power symbol on the screen will flash.
Atomizers from 1ohm to 3ohm capable
Accurate Metering
Pass-Thru vaping while charging

Accuracy

Using my 2-in-1 Ohm and Voltage meter I picked up from MyVaporStore ($19.95) awhile back I ran some tests on the accuracy of the metering system in the iStick. Using a 1.6-ohm coil in the Nautilus Mini and a 1.8 -ohm in the Aerotank the iStick read them exactly the same as the meter, which was enough to convince me that the electronics in the iStick were solid quality and accurate.

I think I might wait to see if they come out a V2 ....even though its mighty tempting there are usually a few bugs involved with a first release.

Maybe but if there are, they have not been found yet. I seriously doubt that they would do a V2 with a different chip for this price but, it could happen.

Is this another Chinese special as they are very low priced?

Ismoka has been around for a very long time and is known for the quality of their products. I have seen no complaints at all about the quality although you are not going to get a $300 mod for $30-$35 shipped.

I hope that someone, if not eleaf, will come out with something just like the istick but with the buck circuitry for step-down because it would be all I'd want if they did. I still like it a lot, just a shame that I can't use it as it is with a lot of my delivery systems without getting an unpleasant vape. For example, there aren't many or any places that I'm aware of who sell 2.5+ ohm coils for iclears. Coming from using MVPs and provaris I've gotten used to being able to adjust my pv to whatever coil I have and I imagine I'm not the only one. It's the only thing I am at all disappointed about with the istick!

You may find what you are looking for in the SX350 chip but, you will also pay much more for it. Heck, a 3.7V device may serve you well. just the cost of the SX350 chip is more than this mod costs total.

It's not much shorter than the Twist I never use because it's too big, like the iTasteVV. I always preferred the box form over tubes. I made an 18650 tube once but was always inclined to grab something smaller. Usually an Ego 650 or Erolls. But for the price and Mah, I pulled the trigger anyway. Can't beat that price.

Oh, I don't actually expect it for the price. Like I said I like the istick. It's important information for some people, though, that it does have this limitation. I was perfectly happy already with my mvps and provaris, and having this tiny cute thing to slip in a pocket for dog walks, under 50 bucks is a no-brainer - I have 2.5-3.0 ohm cartos and coils that give me a perfect vape on it.
