Here's an Aerotank v2.

I ordered a Genitank (Aerotank V2 but chromed copper instead of stainless) to go on mine. Dual coils seem to work better on these (apparently) over-volting mods. My iClear 30s with 2.0 ohm rated coils is working, with only the occasional slight burnt taste after three successive draws. The Genitank comes with 1.8 ohm, but reviews claim it takes a little more wattage compared to the 30s.

Thanks for the pic!!!

Now, with the upcoming Phil analysis, the voltage question will finally be answered....

Anyone want to place any (non monetary) bets on what he finds? I think you know what I think...

;)

I think it's obvious the iStick will fail in its claims of sub 4 volt output. That said, a lot of the mainstream devices he reviews struggle with this as well so I'm not sure what kind of review he'll give the thing. I get the impression Phil is a recently converted box mod fan but also think he's a low wattage vapor too (I think). Not to the degree I and others are but I know he's not a 50watt cloud chaser (like Tripper). Barring any unknown safety issues, there's certainly nothing to be found in this gem for him to warrant a thumbs down. It's just a question of how enthusiastic he'll be with the overall "Up" vote. For the price, I'm guessing he'll decree this thing a godsend especially with new vapers in mind.

But for me personally, I think if something is advertised at delivering 3.0 volts it should do exactly that regardless of how much it costs.

I completely agree with you on all counts!!!

What we will find out, is if the claimed voltage is what it is supposed to be. And that is what I want confirmed (either way).

I think what Phil, and his Scope, will show is How 3.0v is defined by eLeaf.

Hypothetical Situation:

If I Output 9v for 1/3 of a Second, and then Output 0v for 2/3 of a Second, Isn't the Average Voltage for 1 Second 3v?

In a Perfect APV World, ALL Voltage would be Constant. And 3v means that the Output is 3v over Any Time Period. But we don't Live in that World for All Devices.

I've been trying to vape on an even 4 volts for the last couple of days. It's easy in the Billet Box (with the 2ohm cartos), but not so easy on the Nautilus with the 1.8BVC coils. I suppose I could go with an OCDTank/carto setup on this. Oh, and it seems I failed to read the fine print so it'll be another week or three til mine arrives - silly me.

As I said earlier after receiving it this morning, I do think it's pumping out about 1.5 to 2 volts higher than my Hana. My sweet spot on that mod is 13~ watts. Reading what others have said after using theirs and reporting, I can say that on the iStick my sweet spot has now leveled out at 11.5 watts. Not a big deal considering it's performance thus far and I'm not a low voltage vaper. LOW VOLTAGE VAPERS TAKE NOTE. I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough what's going on inside as soon as his highness P Busardo gets his hands on it.

P.S. I really value his opinions and reviews, and have made most of my purchases based on his evaluations. The exception being this adorable .... kicking iStick [emoji6]

I'm thinking he'll be impressed with its size and such but that's about it.

I will have to disagree with you on that. But, we will soon find out. This mod is nothing short of awesomeness in a small package and again, I am a low wattage vaper. :)

My only point is to say that although a handfull of small wattage vapers do not care for this mod, there are many of us in this thread that love it.

Perfect explanation my friend and I do think that's what his numbers will reveal "with" the typical PWM caveats, complaints and disclaimers. At least he'll break it down so a dufus like me can at least walk away knowing it's doing what it's supposed to do. (albeit wrong :D)

I actually had a few instances where my high dollar ($12) SMOK ohm/volt tester stated 4.1v then 2.1v when I released the iStick fire button. Couldn't replicate this too many times with my limited access to the mod mind you.

Yes, that defines Vaverage. But, as Phil himself (amoung others) wrote, that is not an accurate equivalent to Vrms (which is a better measure of DC equivalent for a PWM supply).

I hope he reports the iStick as Vave AND vrms!!!!

Single 2.5 ohm coil @ 3.7 volts low? (<5.5 watts)

*if* I had to live with 4 volts on a 1.8ohm nautilus I suppose I could. Still prefer a kayfun for flavor and at least I can wrap that coil to my taste but even in nano mode, the kayfun looks kind of weird on this thing. I only like the nautilus mini for it's size (duh, Kodiak... it's a mini), and of course the no hassle coil replacement out on the run.

I am a lwv(low watt vaper) also. I am using a 3.0Ω Boge carto/tank on mine that's reading 2.8Ω, at 5.8w, and 4.0v, and it's working great. I haven't tried a 2.0, or 2.5 Ω, because I don't have any, but I think they would be fine tho. A 1.7Ω carto is a little to hot for me on this tho.

If Aspire would come out with 2.2-2.5 ohm BVC's I'd buy a bushel of iSticks. (And no... I ain't buildin' my own. :D)

I'm with you oplholik.

I'm using 2.8 ~ 3.0 Ohms CE2's. And I have some room to either go Up or Down on this iStick to find my Sweet Spot. I didn't have that Ability on the 7W ~ 30W DNA Boards that were inside some of the Mods that I have Acquired recently that were Roughly Twice the Size of this iStick.

So I'm a Very Happy Camper.

Strange that Aspire doesn't offer Anything Higher than 1.8Ohm.

Guess they are Caught Up in this "All Vapers want Mega Watts" Craze that seems to be Sweeping the Market Right Now.
