I can hear them squealing on my street already...... and I'm ready for them. Oh, am I ready for them!!!

The first wave of the littlest ones has just come and gone. Princesses, pirates and a Spider Man. Average height--2.5 feet. :D

And yes they squeal........

The bigger ones come later--the 3-4 feet tall--they don't want to trick-or-treat with the little kids.

If I had Squealing Kids on my Block, I would Hand Out Candy. Nothing Cooler than Little Kids Running around in Costumes ringing doorbells and then Say'n "Trick or Treat".

It's a blast! But kinda sad without my own kids and their friends in the mix...

But all I have is Surry Teens. So It's all about Celery.

Those come around 9 PM--I usually turn off the lights by that time. High school and college kids. Surly. No costumes. Not even a touch of ghoulish make-up. Just gimme candy. :p

I got my istick 2 weeks ago and love it but I'm not sure I'm getting the battery life I should. I see others talking about a day and a half --two days and I don't get anywhere near that, I am a heavy vaper( about 7 ml a day) and I realize it's hard to compare charge times as some chain vape, some are light users and everywhere in between. Since I was planning on binge watching the final season of Boardwalk Empire today I thought I'd chain vape from a fully charged iStick until it ran out-- see what would end first--eight hours of the show or the iStick. At 5 hours in the iStick died.

I was using a Protank 2 with a rebuilt coil --1.2 ohms at about 10 watts. Do you guys think 5 hours is what I should expect on a charge with that setup or could my unit be defective?

This thing is great overall though. No thread problems as I decided to use the 510-ego adapter from the start and not take any chances (Protank with beauty ring looks great). Love the pass through ability and it is in a class by itself form factor wise IMO.

Considering you are only at 10 watts, five hours does seem a little low for something that is a 2200 mah battery, even if you are chain vaping. I usually vape 2 mils max per day, and I've gone almost three full days on a full charge using my Lemo RTA with a 1.6 ohm coil at around 12 watts.
I wonder if the ego adapter drains the battery faster than just using the 510 straight up, could be a possibility.

Well, your battery is 2200mAh--1 to 1.5 hr of moderate vaping per 100 mAh (rule of thumb, )--should last longer than 5 hours. Even if you chain vape...

Ya it seems something is draining your battery much faster than ti should be discharging. Could most definitely be the adapter. Could also just be a bad battery that was not properly cycled from the get go.

Out of the 3 iSticks I have received, all of them arrived fully charged. This is a huge no no. This type of battery chemistry has what we call a storage charge. This is typically between 3.7 - 3.8 volts. It is the ideal voltage to keep at when not being used for a period of time. Having a this type of battery at full charge and not using it has a negative impact on the longevity.

I work in the electric rc hobby dealing with much larger lithium polymer batteries. Although the chemistry is very safe and powerful, their are things you always have to watch out for.

That said, all 3 of my iSticks can easily blow through 8-10 mils on a 1.8 bvc head around 12 watts before even batting an eye. I go through about 6-8 mils a day, usually staying around 10-12 watts. I charge mine every other day at the most, usually can go two full days before needing to charge on the 3rd night.

Here is a little tip. These batteries develop a cycle very early on, and there is a way to properly break them in. Kind of like a new cell phone. For the first few charges, let the battery completely drain before giving it a full charge. This sets the battery up to get accustomed to going through its full life cycle and helps with long term life span. After it has been charged 5-6 times, this is not as crucial. But, if you get a new battery, vape it to only half charge and then charge it every time, the battery never truly knows it's potential life span as you never let it fully drain.

Also, I always disconnect my atty when charging, as well as turn off the device. If you follow these tips, you will see much better results. Only charge when FULLY dead if you can get away with it. Charge it without an atty, and turned completely off. Make sure it gets a full charge before disconnecting. Other than that, coming with a full charge instead of proper storage charge was a mistake form the get go from the company.

Enjoy your iStick, I sure as hell am. It is nice after using all of my mech and sub ohm drippers to be able to pick up this little guy and get a nice warm satisfying vape with battery for days.

Are you sure about that? This goes against everything I have learned about Lithium batteries. They don't have memory. They don't develop "cycles," and really don't like to be fully discharged--letting them fully discharge is actually harmful.

Top em off early and top em off often. :)

It will keep them happy and will prolong their lifespan.

Thanks Katya,pls0138 and Ryan Lee.

Ryan-- does using the pass through affect it? I use it in pass through mode constantly at home?

The charge seems to go down much faster once the indicator reaches half drained. I hope they go with a numerical charge indicator in version 2 btw

Your battery should be charging when used as a passthrough, not depleting... That's the whole point of passthrough.

Here as well. Height by the hour as well, and by 9pm, the big "kids" are here, and I'm not even sure it's candy they want...

Mine did want candy... begged for candy. Said they were starving students. And they actually dressed up this year. The Al Pacino was good. :D

How is it possible for the 510-ego adapter to affect the battery life?

Never have an trick or treaters out here. Too far from town and mostly seasonal folk in my subdivision. Half the lots are not even occupied. But its nice and quiet.

Wonder if I should have left treats for the bunnies. (Think there are cottontails living under my shed.) They greet me in the mornings.

Actually, the look at me like I'm an intruder and run like heck!

I purchased a laptop a few years back and was told by the tech at the store that the battery would not be warranted unless I ran the laptop untill the battery was dead, then recharge all the way, and repeat. I thought that this was very odd thinking how would they know if I did that procedure or not? but, I did it anyway thinking that I could only benefit from what he said. 3 years later and I'm still getting great battery life when I use the laptop off the charger.....So....what your saying is very true from my experience...
