I bought this 20 watt for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She sent this picture this morning, showing what her Stick looked like when she removed it from her purse. :( Anyone have a good vendor suggestion for buying a 30 watt? Thanks.

Be sure to read what is included. Some are full kits. Some are partial kits. She should not need a full kit.
Eleaf iStick 30 Watt Base Kit
Eleaf iStick 30 Watt Full Kit
Link to the silicone case to keep the front from being pulled off again.
White is translucent. Not actually white. Not clear.

The parts should be in her purse yet. The buttons are held in by the plastic screen cover. The screen cover is held on with double stick tape, the clear Scotch tape stuff.

This site has the 30w full kit Eleaf iStick 30W Full Kit - $39.95 - WORLDofVAPE

I told her to hunt through her purse for the parts and to bring it by. I'd try some super glue. That or duct tape fix everything [emoji1]

Are the Isticks, lets say "less safe" than mech-mods, once they have no vent holes? I hear the battery is Li-ion, and people say IMR are safer...
thanks, I'm waiting for mine anyway...:toast:

On the iStick 20 & 30W (I don't have a 50W... yet), the USB port functions perfectly fine as venting in case of battery failure.

As for Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) vs. Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries...

For the way we use batteries, the Li-Po batteries in the iSticks are far superior to cylindrical Li-Ion batteries. Li-Po batteries outperform in almost every way, have almost twice the number of charging cycles before noticeable degradation and cost us less. Li-Po batteries, if pushed to failure, can vent slightly more powerfully than Li-Ion batteries that have a hard shell enclosure. I have never heard nor read of a Li-Po battery venting in a PV. RC (remote-control vehicle) users abuse the batteries greatly and have shown us what venting looks like. If you're looking for anecdotal evidence, take a look at Innokin's MVP series. All four versions of the MVP have come with internal Li-Po batteries with no reported battery failures to date.

Good luck!

Damn. myvaporstore just listed the iStick 50W and their photo (not stock photos), shows that the blue for the 50W IS the same royal blue of the other in the series, and not that turquoise blue that everyone else shows. :( Wasn't a fan of the light blue, and that is why I ordered the black 50W.

Guess I'll be ordering a second one in the coming months...

Wonder if extreme cold makes the tape pop off? I left my istick in the hummer while in a restaurant, it was like vaping an icicle when I came out.

I'll second the suggestion of buying from sweet-vapes.com

I bought two 30 watts from them on Tuesday. Arrived at my door on Thursday.

ya know when i started vaping, well ok after i started and realised i'd eventually be buying more than one mod, had told myself i'd not buy the same mod twice...that way i could enjoy different variety.....but this dang istick...I want one of each now
i'm really torn between the mini and the 30w or should I skip the 30 and go for the 50w? Or do I wait and see what else comes out ;) I still have til the end of the month before my tax returns are in :D so it'll be a month or two before I really decide.....really thinking bout the mini though at least as it's a bit more pocket friendly for while at work the 20w and my iphone are a bit much for my shirt pocket.....

Dear Lord
Where was her purse and what the heck else did she have in there?
Looks like it's been gutted.

Perhaps she didn't have a hammer handy and just used the hardest thing in her purse to pound in a nail??

Hahaha Good one. Actually the face plate and buttons were not in her purse ???? A post above says the buttons are held in place by the face plate, which in turn is secured in place with 2 sided tape. Lord only knows!

Do (please) let us know when and where they appear... ;)

"The girls" were out on the town last night :) Megan, my daughter, reported that her device was getting passed around. Everyone was liking it, especially with Rocketpuppy's RY4 in it, and wanting to use it instead of going outside to smoke. I must have 5 or 6 of her friends now vaping. I don't mind though, since it is a very positive development and I make that RY4 by the 250 ml bottle for her now :D

Rocketpuppy's RY4 is one of my favorites! I always have some made up in a bottle...
