I never purchased the 20W iStick to endure, neither lasting. In the meantime, it is enduring, far more than expected according to its battery capacity, but that is because I'm mostly a low power vaper. About how could it last.... well, I was aware of the necessity to crack it open and apply some soldering and/or watch-making skills to refurbish it at the end of its battery, whenever it might happen.

Besides, it is so comfortable in the hand, even with heavy atomizers, that it could be my indoor vaping battery, in pass-through mode if it is necessary! It is really comfortable even in pass mode, because it has the USB charging port at its bottom! Probably I'll discard any troubles at the end of its life, reserving it as indoor vaping device (near a USB socket....), and purchasing another 30W......or whatever better might come at that moment....

Or not, I like soldering and watch-making......

And I wasn't joking about its comfy appearance with heavy tanks.......

Yeah! The Fogger weighs more, it's bigger with its drip tip, you should be careful resting it on any surface, it is prone to capsize!

I don't know about I50 and i refer what is starting happening with the october first Istick 20 that i and others had bought few months ago. Someone bought in Italy, someone in europe someone from china directly, in fact all we have now has different locts. All the same critical signal of underlasting time the lifetime is too short very short too short also for a cheap product. For this reason, I and many more would be unsatisfy and we don't buy probably the 30 and the 50w because these are made to have a short lifetime, Two years? Yes two years for a 50$ product is a good, too good life but i and another are talking of one, two three ...six month maximum of shelf life of these object.....not years month.

I'll guess we have to wait and see.
When I smoked I'd spend more than $50 in four days so if the 50's last longer than 6 months I'm still getting a very good deal.

From my perspective, sealed-soldered not-easily-replaced LiPo batteries versus user-swappable IMR 18650s is a "you say to-MAY-to and I say to-MAH-to" kind of thing. The pros and cons of each can be argued, but it comes down to user preference.

I prefer, when possible, to swap out IMRs. Having, as I do, four good-quality dedicated 4-bay chargers and a whole stable of 20A-rated 18650 IMRs (LG HE2s and Samsung 25Rs), means no additional expense beyond what I've already invested. Do I mind USB-charging my eight iSticks (5 20W, 2 30W, 1 50W)? Not really.

What I don't like is high-wattage mods that use IMRs but have battery doors secured with phillips or hex screws rather than magnets or screw-on caps, which makes a battery swap inconvenient and effectively forces the user to USB-charge.

I swap out the 18650 IMRs in my iPV Mini 2 70W and Cloupor Mini 30W twice each day, since I let them drain only about 1/3. Takes literally two minutes each time from start to finish. Four minutes total per day.

The LiPo batts in my iStick 20s should last a long time, because they've all been relegated to low rungs on my vaping ladder. Yes, all five are loaded and ready with nice juices in good tanks, but they get much less vape time than my five more-recently-purchased, higher-wattage boxes. By the time the iStick 20 LiPo batts bite the dust, I'll be perfectly happy to wave goodbye to them.

kind of sucks because I just got it today in the mail. I peaked underneath and it looks like little strips of tape. I'm going out tomorrow anyway so I'll just grab some 3m double sided permanent tape and apply that to it after I clean the old out. If it doesn't hold well I'll get a glue in the future. Thanks

Turns out that mine moves a tiny bit when I push on the center of it. I think I read somewhere that it was hard to take off. That being the case, I don't think it will fall off. So that's another one I'm not going to worry about. If it does fall off, I'll borrow some duct tape from the Bikester.

EDIT: Could be the beginning of a cool "rat" mod. If there are any bikers in here, they'll know what I mean. lol

I was one of the first utilizers of i-stick in my country. For the price i accepted many problems in virtues of the cheap price. I thought that device was a innovation in market the substitute of the ego that from the advent of this device stopped to be the fulcrum of the market of vapers in the world. But...there is a big bad but...

The istick in my opinion is build to have a little life, not for defects of my exemplar but because the istick is constructed to be a use and throw object in a few, very few monts...In fact my 20 w still working not well as new but not to bad has stopped to work after 1/4 of the battery life theorical (330 times of recharge). Now if i vaped 5 ml before recharging i ned to do it in 2-3 ml with a bad erogation in the half the battery thad last too little.....Substantial i was interested in 30w upgrade object because the better electronics, stainless steel pin but now i think the same problems in reliability and duration could be in the new that has the same weak battery, not easyly removable....not a big revolution this product but only a device that would be a revolution, now i'm waiting for the new proposal i hope would be, 100$ BatteryBox long lasting and reliable.....not a chinese use and throw away.....

You're absolutely correct, my friend. Eleaf has addressed the glaring issues from the original iStick. All that remains is the questionable quality of the Chinese battery that is utilized. I don't believe the batteries are inherently bad. However China is not well-known for their high quality consumer batteries. Consistency in their manufacturing process is abysmal. We will see very disparate experiences with the iStick batteries. Some, perhaps half of us, will see the 500+ charge cycles Li-Po batteries are known for. The remainder of us will see less than 500 charge cycles before the battery(ies) shows signs of deterioration. Currently, this is the cost of purchasing a device in this price range.

First let's understand the scope of this problem. As we all know, forum threads are a repository for user complaints. Yet this thread has remained overwhelmingly positive regarding these devices. Out of nearly 12000 posts, less than a handful of forum member have complained about the battery itself. It's simply too soon to draw any conclusions about the battery. Over the coming months, paying attention and reporting battery issues here will be very helpful.

The batteries in the 20 & 30W iSticks are simple enough to replace but require moderate soldering/electronic skills. The 50W shouldn't be that difficult. I have not had one apart yet however. The question remains of what to use for replacements. Although a standard 18650 Li-Ion would be sufficient, the Li-Po characteristics are part of what has made the iSticks so brilliant. This takes me back to a months-old rant, asking that manufacturers begin supplying the vaping industry with quality batteries designed for our intended purpose, in both chemistry and form-factor. This is the next step that must be taken for customers to be happy long-term with their purchases.

Same with my vape gear - built in batteries and replaceable, doesn't bother me either way.

Just loaded up one of my old T3s with drilled out airholes. Vapin at 5 watts.on my 50..........tastin pretty good.
Bet I could get some battery life out of that.

OK, so I ordered and received my 50watt (RockyMountain Vapor / coupon code "forum" / $45.00/ free shipping) in two days......happy happy!!!.......but
I don't know if I'm goofy, or inexperienced with proper spring 510 connections or what? Here is the deal...I'm using a TOHB atty screwed down snug......not over tight....never over tightened anything ever...never messed up any threads or other devices ever!

The build is a 0.8 ohm coil....when I pull the top cap to drip....it reads 1.0 or 1.1....wiggle it and I'm back to 0.8.......vape vape pull top cap and it goes wonky again.....I can't possible tighten it any more!

And yes this is a good build, tight connections, have been using it prior to yesterday on my dna 30 watt box mod with no issues.

Don't get me wrong....I love this thing and my other two 20watts......just wondering if anybody else with one has had this happen........or do I just need to SNUG it up good and tight and trust that I won't jack up the 510 pin?
