I agree about the 510 connectors but I just love 6.5mm TRS plugs and my headphones do too.
I retrofitted my bass for a xlr connector. It's better, as it won't pull out and makes a secure connect. I might do the same for the Strat, but I need to look at a better option.

Yes, way OT. But a simple 2 conductor connection shouldn't be too difficult...

:toast:

And I should be drinking. Yea, Spring!!

Since yall drug it off topic, I always wondered why they didn't migrate into RJ11 or RJ45 type connectors. :vapor:

Ok back to your regularly scheduled programing :p

So...do I have a dead istick or can it be resuscitated to live another day? Lol

I think Dave has you headed in the right direction, we just need to find you a itty bitty o-ring and walk you thru getting it under the center pin on the istick. :)

do you have a local brick & mortal (vape shop) in your area?

I do but they won't have o rings. I can bet you on that one. I do have a Lowes though. I have some 60 round, not flat o rings will they work?

It can be fixed. We have the technology...

Get that little Torx driver, pop off the top and fix the pin and grommet. A bit of soldering maybe. I had to fix the pin on my Beyang 30w (similar to the iStick).

Or just use the ego adapter. I use my iStick with a beauty ring all the time. and it's been 6 months.

The insulator from a KangerTech coil head will work perfectly if you can find someone to unsolder the red wire, remove the grey insulator, install the Kanger one, solder the red wire back on and put it back together.

You can use an o-ring off an old BCC coil maybe.....and work it around under it to hold it up

Take it into the shop and explain whats up, if they seem dumbfounded ask them outright if they possibly have a small o-ring like Bike suggested off an coil that could be used to insert under the pin. It takes a little finiggiling (not sure if that is a English or even human word) but it can be done. If all else fails and you have some type of back-up I would be glad to let you send it to me an I will fix it for you. It's not a dead puppy! :)

Wow Troll nailed it with visuals! kuddos kiddo!

The plastic locking tangs bust off all the time...

Opps wrong post grabbed, I do video surveillance installs (mostly of ladies dressing rooms) JUST KIDDING! and they make some much better quaility ones than the cheesy clear plastic ones you are picturing in your mind. Instead of cents @ the are dollars @ but quaility! :)

Yes Troll did! However, there's no way in hades that I could do it! And...if you're serious, I can send it to you. My son(this is his istick) is using my 20W now so we do have backups. Well, he's using my backup but I have others I can use.

Let me explain my local vape shop...they have juice, coil heads and some mechanical mods but no one that even has a clue about repairing anything. I took a Reo in the other day and I got looked at like I had 2 heads. The manager then tried to sell me a Provari.

Bike, I work in a factory that makes transmissions for Toyota. You can't find a small screwdriver in that place.
