I hear that, Lynn. I haven't purchased hardware since January (iStick 30W). I've been saving my pennies for something that really gobsmacks me. Methinks joyetech's eVic-VT may be that device. Of course, it may be a tandem purchase, along with Kangertech's subox! Reliable temperature limiting is of great interest. But I also want a better replaceable battery mod. Now, if I could find a good TL chipset in a compact 26650 mod, I'd be as happy as a pig in... well, you know what I'm sayin'. :D

Happy weekend, everyone!

I'm going the other direction: I don't want to fool with batteries anymore! This hobby/habit takes enough work as it is without having to deal with keeping batteries paired, worrying about their age, amp limits, charge state, dealing with chargers, finding batteries that aren't re-wraps, etc.

I'm too lazy! Vape all day, charge all night. That's what I want.

Isn't the eVic a regulated mod or am I confused? And in actuality, I'm with you. Charge the battery, fill the tank and out the door! Easy peasy!! Lol
But I do like building coils...keeps my hands busy and my mind blank!

I'm with you on that, BNEAT. My last three mod purchases have had integrated batts. I love them. I also believe Li-Po chemistry is a better choice for our use. Unfortunately, I need at least 3000mAh to guarantee that I can get through an entire day on one device. What concerns me is the sobering questions surrounding forthcoming regulation/legislation. We have no idea what products will be available in the future and at what cost. I'm trying to spend my vaping budget on devices that should stay and grow with me through 2+ years of service. My oldest iStick is only 7 months old but I can't see it lasting another 18-24 months. While vaping has been relatively inexpensive for many of us, it could get much more expensive very soon. I'm also purchasing a 2+ year supply of Nic that will live on in my freezer.

This is the longest I've stayed away from the analogs in 25+ years. I'm not going back. And I'm not going bankrupt in the process either. Maybe I'm just being a worrywart. Unfortunately, I don't trust our elected "representatives" or the bureaucracy they created to do the right thing... :2c:

Yeah, you're right, it's regulated. And even if it did have removable batteries, if it's like my eVic Supreme, it won't put out more power than what the battery is capable of delivering...some sort of battery-monitoring voodoo!:) (see sig)

I have a Reo but I'm just not coordinated enough in the mornings to make sure I have charged batteries, extra liquid bottles, wick replacements etc..As it is now, I only have to make sure my istick is charged and my tank is full. I do have a couple of spare coils stored in my lunch box for emergencies.

I'm keeping my eye on this. As long as the electronics don't quit, should last a VERY long time with some spare batteries.

Same sentiments here. I'd love to vape my Defenders with the GS Air M toppers forever, but they may not be available or the cost may skyrocket. So I think it is essential to have at least a few replaceable batt regulated mods and the ability and parts to rebuild,. Maybe a mech mod.. (in a drawer :- ) and liters nic base in the freezer.

I really like the sounds of the new Subox. It appears to have both buck and boost, true low wattages and capable of those at the higher end to accomidate sub ohm and 1.2 coils. As far as I can figure out, the IPV 30w, IPV4, SX mini and 30w / 50w isticks are the only other ones that do that (I didn't look into all the lipo battery mods, just sticks). Everything else meters high at the low end and I'm not sold on sub ohming. Not yet. Anyway, the Subox appears to cover the spectrum.

My biggest reservation comes from being 'kangerized' in the past - you know, they issue a new version every week or so to fix small problems with coils, airflow, flooding, whatnots. I think the Kbox has been the first thing I've seen without multiple versions.

I wish mod manufacturers were more forthcoming about power management, at least a chart showing optimal ranges. This is forcing me to figure out ohm's law and I don't like it. lol. I thought I was going to get to escape that part.

I do have a trusty K100 in a drawer. Just in case. Meanwhile I picked up 2 more isticks. They are still a low budget bargin.

I'm keeping my eye on this. As long as the electronics don't quit, should last a VERY long time with some spare batteries.

I've been slowly getting my Nic level down and building my liquid inventory so if it all came to an end tomorrow, I have enough juice to wean myself completely off nicotine. PG and VG will always be available because of it uses in other things so what liquid I do have can be reduced and doubled.

If you haven't already seen it......

And Busardo's take on it
Taste Your Juice | NEW IN THE QUEUE – 05/20/15 – The Joyetech eVic VT

The new eVic suffers the same fate the Invader does, only worse. It's ugly. "Racing stripes" and football team colors. IMO that's an opportunity missed. I'll probably own at least one Cool Fire just because I can't resist the colors and I'm tired of spending $10 more / mod to wrap it. Is color part of the function? I don't see many guys carrying around pink mods.

I think Dodge Chargers were that color orange back in the 70's.That looks like Knight Rider black. I dunno where the white and sky blue are from. Football?

I'm also reluctant to start collecting new coils. Are egrip heads compatable?
My fingers are crossed the Subtanks will be.

Yep, I'm pretty sure you're right. I like those too! lol

I also kinda like the racing stripes on the eVic but to be fair, I've got "racer" in my name. ;)
