I Saw the thread Three min lighter mod . BY Connman
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/77007-3-minute-lighter-mod.html
He made a cool VP out of battery operated Flameless cigarette lighter.
Connman also said he wanted to mod the heater core for a atty .
Well Here is my attempt at that .
First I disassembled the lighter, took out the heater coil assembly.
It over was really cool had a light bulb base and were there would normally be a glass bulb the was the heater coil on two posts .
The wire was a 36, or 34 gauge nic wire .
I took it off the posts pictured and found that a 901 atomizer ceramic cup would just slide down over the posts, I thought cool,.
I replaced the heater coil with 34 gauge coil around silica rope with the same 2.5 ohms rating the heater coil had . I Then soldered it to the posts then slide the ceramic cup up and over the rope after I cut the extra off . Instant Atomizer .
I also cut the case some so the atomizer would fit where the heater coil fit .I thought about using the heater coil side covers but they were kind of fragile after bending them down to work on the heater coil posts and new atty so I broke them off .
I had some left over nickel foam to cover the cup and a sleeve to hold it on and a tube from a wicked e-juice 901 atty to cover everything and fit a mouth peace on .
I use the factory switch which was a spring lever operation deal. rugged
I didn't have any AAA bats that were not dead. But I did have some Factory 901 batteries I had taken the screw on mounts off of to make some of my first mods . I thought prob 4 volt to 3.6 volt would work better and get the last little bit out of the batteries LOl win win . Oh I don't suggest anyone doing that . Buy some new Lithium AAA rechargeable batteries . I've got they just haven't showed yet . Oh it vapes great I use a factory style cart for it .Hope you enjoy this silly post .
