That's a long way of saying - little things like having a warning on the battery might actually have a more potent effect that you'd imagine. And cost nothing to do.
Well, got an old Safe lying around?Extremely BAD idea.
The main reason people get injured is when the battery vents, its sealed inside a metal tube which causes pressure to build very quickly, thus the device litterally becomes a pipe bomb.
Here a good rule of thumb:
If you dont fully understand how a tool works, dont shove it in your mouth or your pocket.
Following that simple common sense rule would eliminate 99% of the problems.
I say 99% because some special snowflake will grenade their device knowing full well what they are messing with.
Well, Murphy's law says "if it can go wrong, it will go wrong." So, the solution is either batteries that don't explode, or no more changeable batteries.
The problem here is in the psychology of the consumer. We're so used to AA batteries that it's hard to convince people that these batteries are different.
IMO, you could have vape stores telling people how dangerous they are until they're blue in the face and we'd see people injuring themselves, and not just careless people (i.e. people you'd consider careless in other areas of life).
Essentially we're talking about a mindset change from AA to ammunition in terms of the respect accorded to these batteries. That's a tough one.
Don't use your Dremel tool for Dentistry. Why do I need someone to tell me about that? The people selling the stuff should properly inform me.
They should provide examples about what can conduct?
Like for example a pocket full of change, a pocket full of car keys.
You can't just pick up a vape and know what the hell your doing.
If you can't understand basic Ohm's law, DO NOT GET A REBUILDABLE.
IF YOU CANNOT OR AT-LEAST ARE UNWILLING TO BASIC MATH CALCULATIONS, DO NOT BUY A REBUILD ABLE!
Do not ARROGANTLY pick up a vape!
It seems these days EVERYTHING needs a warning label, hell I was in a hotel 2 weeks ago that had a warning label on the toilet warning people to please not drink from it.
Good to know I got someone on Staten island. We can have companies write disclaimers and warnings till their printers fall apart, quite frankly whatever happened to good ol' common sense?
About the conversation you guys had a page back:
For the record I live in Staten Island, I know every vape shop owner on the Island. They're all fully aware of the legal consequences of selling to minors. The penalty is stiff and they aren't stupid, even the shady guy running the new half vape half hookah/smoke shop on Richmond Ave. is scared to sell to anyone which even remotely looks to be in his twenties.
We need to push companies for better instructions and warnings but at some point we need to just take a look at the end user and say hey stupid use some common sense.

The hotel in question is the Botanical Gardens in Queens NY, they did a piece on the sign a while ago I'll try to dig it up. The editorial piece is done on the garden grounds but the hotel is right next door and has the same warnings in the rooms they offer, might be the same source of water I don't know, either way who drinks from a toilet bowl?I've got to follow this one up. Where and what hotel was it?
This reminds me of when they has to start putting those little warning stickers on Bic lighters that they could set things on fire, and keep out of the reach of children. And they were so firmly attached you could spend 2 days picking them off. In truth, the cost for a label that no one will read but would provide a mechanism to allow one to point at it and ask "Did you follow all warnings we provided on the label?" would be worth it. It would shift the burden just a tad more onto the consumer who never imagined a battery could blow up.

I tend to hit up caviar mist.

Botanical Garden Visitors Told Not to Drink Toilet Water
People, right now possibly, a lawyer against vaping is searching for his/her next case.
Let's disarm his/her case logic before he/she gets a clue that we are on to his/her injustice against this alternative medical treatment for smoking.
Let's not let the false prophets of science dictate our rights to our own treatment against smoking addiction.
Remeber your common sense, to those that find this post.

Great post man!Lawyers are rarely for or against.
They simply want money, and will shamelessly support any narrative that furthers that agenda.
It's mostly good for manufacturer. Can stop some lawsuits.Might stop one or two. And that's a good thing.
The OP asked for safety tips. How about offer your list and take the other topics somewhere else.
I like durock or wonder board[emoji12]I use a piece of hardiebacker (cement fiber board) on a table. Charger goes on top of that. The stuff is pretty fireproof, although I've never had a charger fire. Just one battery that got hot and gassed a little, courtesy of the dog knocking it off my desk.
