Enhancer Skill in DYI Juices

New to DYI mixing & would like some input on the skill of using flavor enhancers i.e. Sweets,Smooth,Sour,MTS,Apple cider vinegar,Alcohol,Lemon juice etc. I have experimented to some degree with all of these but still don't have the "knack". Some say they use "Smooth" in ALL their juices but I Very Rarely see it in any posted recipes. Yes,I am aware of subjectivity but there must be some better guidelines than what I have read so far in this & several other forums.
Any Great Advice from you Veteran Mixologists would be put me in Vapor Heaven ! Thanks in Advance....:vapor:

Yes,thanks for the link Central Fl. I have a copy of that sitting here on my desk. What I'm really looking for is not so much generalities which I do use,but that little something Extra that GrandMa put into her favorite cake recipe that made it stand out. Seems like most recipes that I use from the web many times just "lacks that certain something" or maybe I'm just pursuing the evasive e-juice ghost ? Do most mixers add Smooth to All or Most All their juices & at what % or drops/cc base for say a Fruit vs a tobacco vs a Creamy concoction?

I agree with Steve on that. I was trying to use all the differant additives to no avail. Since I've quit using them my juices taste fine, perfect? no not quite but they are getting there. I'll have to admit though that I have been experimenting with EM at low percents (.5%) to see if it helps any. Those are currently in the steep cuppard.

I will say Smooth is somewhat not needed nor are half the things out there like Vape Wizard. But to say they do nothing or do bad things would be totally wrong. These flavor companies have spent a great deal of time and or money developing these additives. If they served no purpose it would be pretty stupid to invest time and money into a product no one would buy. It's just like sweetener as some hate sweet and some people hate salty. These additives are basically similar to using butter, salt and sugar in your cooking. You don't need to use any of that to cook of course. But imagine what brownies might taste like with no sweetener.

And to claim these things mess with taste buds in an unnatural way makes no sense. Most of the flavors we use are artificial and contain things that mimic other things unnaturally. There may be chemicals extracted from actual foods but most of it's synthetic. Hence the reason flavors from various manufacturers taste nothing alike. Some don't even taste anything close to what they are claimed to be.

Best additives I've found are a few drops of TFA Marshmallow, CAP NY Cheesecake, CAP Vanilla Custard, TFA Brown Sugar Extra.
Not all at once, although anything goes around here.

Better to try using a dash of flavoring to get that missing "piece" IMO.

Many flavors can be used as spices in small amounts, ie peanut butter, pineapple, lemon, lime, be creative...

Have fun
