Enjoying my new Blue E-Cig!

Hello, All!

I'm a new member to the forum and just thought I'd post with some info about my experiences. I've been a smoker for the last 5 years (closer to 6, eek) at about a pack a day of Marlboro 27's most often. I bought my first e-cig when they became more mainstream about 2 years after I had begun smoking, but it was a crappy model, and I'd given up on them for a while.

In the past year, I've purchased plenty of low-end reusables as well as disposables, but none have been satisfying to me. After reading lots of reviews and trolling, I bought a Blu Premium Starter Pack - even though many "vaping enthusiasts" would say this is a bad choice. For me, I needed something that both looked and felt like a regular cigarette in its size and dimensions, unlike the bulky versions I've tried in the past that I just didn't correlate to smoking a cigarette.

The Blu, though it has plenty of limitations, is great for my lifestyle. The shorter battery life is decent enough, especially with the charging battery pack that also adds to that familiarity for smokers, and the cartridges are available at most Walgreens near my home. It's satisfying and I enjoy the flavor, and must say, I can see myself using this ecig realistically compared to those of the past I'd just "hope" I'd suddenly enjoy and switch to.

Thanks for reading & good luck to you guys!

Hey man, if it works to get you off smoking then I'm not going to rip you for using Blu. I started with Green Smoke, and while I regretted it briefly, it opened the door for me to quit smoking cigars. I moved on to other devices fairly quickly and haven't lit up for 3 months. I have no desire whatsoever to go back. You are doing the right thing, so keep after it!

Thanks, everybody! I definitely find the disposables to be a whole different entity from the reusable pack, even if it's just because of the extra features and conveniences that make it feel like a pack of cigs with the cartridges held inside, but who knows? I'm looking forwards to the loyalty points and getting free items in the future! I'm going to be using it to taper off of regular cigs, as I don't do well with "black and white" rules that I set for myself; if I happen to break it once, for example, then I feel the deed is done and I might as well abandon the resolution. Whatever works, that's the way I see it. Thanks for the support & best wishes!

Nothing wrong with blues, if it works for you. I didn't even know what was available when I bought my electronic cig-a-like. But it was good enough to convince me I could kick a 27 year old habit. Then I found the ECF, and my journey into the world of vaping actually started.

welcome to the ECF and congrats on you Blue's. I actually have a Blue Futura DNA30 mod coming, so guess you can say I'm a Blue fan too!! lol, well at least the color.

I'll always have a soft spot for Green Smoke. I still feel the need for something cig-a-like size that I can just forget is in my jeans' pockets whilst out and about.

I would say however that the ultimate cig-a-like is probably a small 510 battery (200-300 mAh) with a Boge refillable on the end of it. That's the same size as the branded ones, but with the benefits of being way way cheaper to buy and refill. Also you get to use the nice juices you discover with a larger battery solution at home.

Some people just need the cigalike form factor. My mother in law needed it. She started with ego like setups because of me, but she just didn't use it much. I came home with an Innokin AIO kit earlier this week though, and she fell in love. I can get black cartos to match it in bulk at the same place I get my cartos for my carto tanks. I just throw in a box for her as well when I order now. She also needed a similar flavor to cigs, so I've been buying up cheap, cig flavored, juice. The cheaper the better apparently. She has no desire to move up and no desire to try other flavors. That's just her.

Blus never fully hit the spot for me. In hindsight and experience I prob didn't have the right nicotine strength to give them a fair chance. At the time I learned 2 things about their product. I liked their menthol and I firmly believe their java is one of the foulest things I've ever had. Aside from the size which is more convenient it was nice being able to go out to the store and buy the cartridges. Check your grocer too, I found a few have them also.
