It'd be a bit mor difficult than that. You'd have to cut it down and then sand the Outside diameter Down until it fit in a 510.

Yup, here is my crappy attempt to make one. Lets just say Id much rather buy a few rather than make more. Its hard to get an even diameter around the part you sand down. Mine doesnt work to well. :/

Ahhh, OK. I'll probably just get a universal, and try to dremel a crappy stem I have from a busted pipe for practice. Once I get decent at it, I'll dremel down this awesome Peterson I got from my buddy Kalan. Hopefully it looks half as good as the one Blu made. As far as the brass ring I want for a connector cover, I'm probably gonna have to find a bullet brass casing that matches the diameter of the shank, give it the right patina, and maybe RTV it in place. Well Maybe not RTV, but something like that to fill it in. My other idea was to lathe and drill out a piece of brass and fit it on there with inset o-rings like a tank holds a carto. Not sure which is more practical.

Hey Matt, could I commission you to make one of those sometime? Or maybe even just a brass looking cut cone to match the patina brass button that I'm pulling the trigger on right now. PLEASE??? Mind you, it wouldn't need to be made until I get the pipe in, and send it to you for repair/refurbish. I know it'll look alot better if you do it than any DiY build I'd put together.

here is my dragon, for some reason my penne has trouble screwing into the 510, so what I did was get a 510 ext and put on the penny then screw on to pipe, did anyone have this problem with the penny threading into the ego 510.
Also I am bout to atempt modding my cherry vape universal to fit the penny tip, before I do this can anyone offer any other options for attaching stem to penny. Thanks all...

OK, so I now feel like an idgit. After reading the product description for the Universal Churchwarden Pipe Stems, and looking at some old pics I saved from the v1 days; the EMDCC will cover the connector just fine and a universal won't fit in that carto, but all's well since the stem that's coming with it does fit the EMDCC.

If you dont find that you like those huge cartos but like the look their is this option as well. It will cover the threads and it will also use a more standard small carto. You may hate the idea but Im just tossing it out there in case you have never seen it.

EGO Tank System , new eGo-X. Best eCig Solution

EDIT: I should say Ive never tried one of these and dont know if what I said is 100% true. Im basing my info on this page and the Pbusardo video.

Hey buddy, be sure not to over tighten those EMDCC's on that pipe.
The V1 pipes don't have a VapeSafe, and being an older pipe means the silicon insulation ring in the connector could be dry rotted.
If the button gets hot you've got a short and you need to take the cap off quick, then send it back for repair.
The pipe may be fine, but I just figured I've give you fair warning, the v1's are different from v2's when it comes to shorts.

Ith a 8 inch matt i have to tell you thank you personally for repairing my dragon, i am new to the pipe vape but aquired the dragon through a trade and was very happy i did it, my pipes are strictly for when i am done work and i get home, i pick it up and grab myfavorite juice , and my 306 or hybrid lr atty, or now as i just discovered a kanger t2 wich works awesome wth a 8 inch church warden , in case anyone wants to know i just trimmed the tip of the t2 drip tip down just a tad and the cherry vape universal fits nice and snug over it, i enjoy that pipe when i am done work and dont think unwinding is possible without that ritual, i recently picked up a second pipe, a little 18350 gandalf wich is a really sharp looking pipe and works real well with the t2 also.
Anyway i have my gandalf on its way to u for repair for the connector, im sure u will bring it right back to life as u did for my dragon, thanks again and for the great pipes , shawnski.....

Duly noted. I'm probably just gonna load all 4 of the EMDCC's with the pipe sauce samples when they get here. The original owner said she got it out of curiosity and barely ever used it. Aside from a hot button, is there any other way to know whether or not the pipe needs to be repaired before use?

That's the only real indicator. We have changed a lot of features from the v1 - v2.5 to help avoid and correct the old issues with the v1's.
The v1's are still great pipes, just a different animal...
Also don't put the oak barrel cider in a carto. It's not a carto friendly juice.
It will work great in an atty or RBA though:). The rest of the juices should do fine in carto's.
