We'll have stems back in stock on the site the end of March first week of April. Regarding the Phoenix, it's a good entry rba but be careful of the center pin. If you screw it down to much it will move and can cause a short. Around the shop we use the Vision Eternity mostly, it's easy to rebuild and if you don't overdrip it works great.

Welcome to the dark side MoJoe, and congrats on your first ePipe. I definitely second Matt on the Vision Eternity as a starter. I've been using it non stop since it came in. My first rba was a Cobra genisis style, and I still haven't gotten it up and running really, but the Eternity was good to go out of the box. Just watch the PBusardo review and it'll give you an idea of just how easy it is to use.
Also, there are some red stems left on the site, and they come with universals. It's better than a drip tip at any rate.

Here's a pretty good article on RBAshttp://content.spinfuel.com/2013/01/the-rebuildable-atomizer-an-introduction-and-overview/

Thanks so much for your helpful replies, fellas, and thanks for making such killer pipes, Matt. Really, there is nothing appealing to me about the form factor of the modern mods. The features, yes. Not the light-saber look, though. I'd be humiliated whipping one of those out in public.

That Eternity looks amazing. The added length means I might even be able to go with a shorter stem that I could actually drip through. I've seen it a number of times in pics posted on here and thought it had a great look to it, it's cool to see that it works well, too. I think I'll give it a shot. ;)

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I don't ever drip through the stem. I just remove my universal and drip into the top cap, and with the Vision's juice capacity that isn't very often. I just don't like risking some of the juice still being in the stem and taking sip of juice (blech) instead of a pull of vapor.

I'm not sure that it will be a problem with the Eternity and a pipe stem, but It only took taking the drip tip off the Vivi Nova once, now it won't seat properly and falls off all the time. I just don't want to wear my stem down and optimally, there will never be anything that just randomly falls off my pipe. It's kind of a bummer. :p

Finally, got a good coil and have it broken in. Is it normal for the coil to have a gunk build up overnight with a 50/50 mix juice? It's working great but I had to clean the coil this morning. Brightside, cleaning it brought it up from 1.9 to 2.2. Just wondering if I'm gonna have to clean the coil everyday.

No I haven't yet but I'll look into it.

Hey Matt, have you tried an Igo-S? It wont hold as much juice as the phoenix will but it would be sweet for a super stealthy pipe setup. Its about half the height of a phoenix but twice as good in my opinion. The positive post is solid as a rock. Doesn't move...at all.

It depends on the sugar content of the juice. If your juice has alot of sweetner in it the coil will gunk quicker.

Ahh well it is Turtle Cheesecake so it probably has quite a bit of sugar. This gunk was causing hotspots and a short. I'm probably gonna keep making new wicks until I can successfully make one that wicks without tilting, but good to know I can reuse them. That's a dern good lookin pipe.

Hey, everyone.

Been reading for a while, and I just bought myself an EpipeMod pipe last week and I have a couple of questions. First, I am planning on getting an RBA. I've heard that the Phoenix is a great one to start with, but it looks more difficult to rebuild than a DID or an AGA T, any opinions on that? I understand that it's a more advanced approach to smoking, but since the E pipes lack all the fancy buttons and doo-dads, I want to be able to dial in my wattage manually. I'm going to pick up one of those 510 ohm meters and do it safely and I'll keep it above 1.6 ohms so I don't blow my face off. :p

My second question regards stems. I really want a pipe stem for my pipe... right now I have a Vivi nova with stock drip tip and that's it. It's not a very comfortable smoke and it looks like a covert weed pipe, rather than a majestic wooden work of art. EPipeMods is currently out of pretty much everything. Does anyone here have a good supplier of pipe stems and a solid, fairly uncomplicated method for converting them to fit a 510? I'm hell bent on vaping like a sir, and this drip tip nonsense is cramping my style. heh

Thanks in advance, I've been lurking for a while and this is a really cool little community you cats have going on here!

Welcome dude! Seems like you know your stuff! I'd definitely recommend the agat + for a first rebuildable! Also am a vivi nova fan

I rarely ever have to clean my coil. Maybe every few weeks.... Then I just wrap a new one.

Not sure your resistance should be jumping around that much
