Well, I went with the Liverpool- Bent Shankless in Hormigo Negro. Figured it would be best to start with something that looks a little more traditional.

I just got some simple cartos and no stem this time. Have to wait for my allowance category to recharge.

Also got a bottle of pipe sauce.

Now, not to harass. But how quickly are these likely to arrive? I'm headed for a short family vacation this weekend. I doubt it will be here by then. :( (Unless some packing fairy reads this and gives my package a little special attention ;))

Got my first, picked up the Dublin Timborana. whoo hooo :)

didn't see a lot to pick from i guess all that are avail are listed? hope i looked in the right spot :)

Well yes and no. It seems there were not a lot of the traditional pipes this time and the focus seems to be on the Mjolnir. So perhaps you didnt see those since they are in a separate section. They are fairly rare and sought after. But yeah, I'd bet you saw them all.

Pipes will ship out tomorrow. Most people receive their packages in 2-3 days. There are some exceptions of course.

Awesome!

Yup. I grabbed the batteries and charger.

So, now I'm thinking I SHOULD have gotten the stem pictured with the pipe I bought. Matt, which one is that? I might have to place a supplemental order. Haha.

Of course, what I REALLY want is one of those short-saddle pieces. Any idea if those are coming back?

We are currently working on the Short Saddle stems. I purchase a variety of new colors as well!
We have also done some tweaking on the tenons and now the shorties will work with either a universal 510 adapter or the Mega B adapter will come standard. Hopefully they'll be ready by this weekend as well.

Awesome. Well, I'll hold off for those and order a second bottle of juice then also.

Ive been wondering Matt. Not sure you have covered this but Im guessing you have actually, Ive been searching but I just cant find what you said about it.

In the past I had a button top 18350 battery. It, like you had told us was slightly tall and while it worked barely kinda, it was obviously too tall and would even want to pop out of the charger.

Well the other day I was in a pinch and only had my Provari Mini AW18350 button top charged. I knew it work work but not well but decided what the heck, Ill use it. Well to my surprise it seems perfectly sized. I actually checked it and indeed it is about the same as the flat top but with the button. That particular battery has worked really well for me for a long time and I was thinking about getting more of those but want to check if you recommend against them for your pipes or if there is something I dont know about. I am basically battery illiterate as to what is safe with what.

Question about the neccessity of drip shields if I'm using 510 cartos. Is this mainly to prevent sloppy dripping and juice dripping down around the outside of the carto "stem"?

My intention is to pretty much keep this a simple setup, for the most part. I'm thinking eGo cone threads, short saddle stem.

I wanted a pack of the eGo Mega Dual Coil cartos, but they were sold so I just grabbed the 510 Xls. I figured I could use the standard 510 threads for the time being until I get some eGo threaded cartos. Also, if I plan on doing any modding for fun, the standard 510 thread would be easier.

Aside from aesthetics, do I need to get a drip shield somewhere before I use these with the pipe? Or can I grab an Ego cone and put it on there to limit any dripping? I generalyl don't refill my cartos on my battery (aside from a one or two drop top off to keep the filler wet on top)

I figure I can grab some eGo Mega dual coil from MadVapes or somewhere (looks like the bit is a whistle-tip too, which would be close to a pipe bit for the time being), Should I grab an ego cone to dress upp the standard 510 cartos as well?

Gah! Why does spending money lead to spending more money? ;)

Edit to add: I think I get it. Color me noob. Since I don't drip (yet, I assume it's only a matter of time) I didn't get overfilling when dripping. I'm assuming I don't need to be concerned about drip shields with cartomizers. I'l grab an ego cone to dress it up a bit.

Squeeee! :w00t:

(I'm such a child)

Congrats Jet! I know the feeling. I hope mine gets sent today. They have a very astute office person down there that noticed I ordered like 6 V1 buttons and I just noticed she emailed me to make sure that I didnt make a mistake. Good work on her part but I hope I didnt miss getting shipped today. I sent a reply as soon as I saw the email :(

EDIT: My order did indeed get shipped today. Katie seems to be right on the ball, seems like you might have a good one there Matt.

The short answer is yes.
The long answer is that AW is a frequently counterfeited battery. Because of that I haven't made a blanket statement that AW 18350's will work. However, to my knowledge, if you have a genuine AW 18350, it is the same height and a quality battery, therefore I do recommend using them.

You're on the right track. An eGo cone will do fine for carto's plus it's cheaper.

Katie has been a big help on the customer service end :)
It's a great thing because now I can be down in the shop where I belong!
