Hello -- being new to the epipe rage, I find myself drawn to the more classic looking pipes with a bent shank. I notice that all of the pipes for sale are shankless. Is there a reason for this? Are more pipes going to be made with bent shanks? Can someone please educate me on the benefits/drawbacks of each? Thanks for your time....

I think that the biggest issue is the amount of work that goes into making a nice pipe with a shank. The freehand ones have sometimes proper shanks and the pricing is higher than the basic ones due to all that work. I would be stalking the freehand section and also the classifieds here, sometimes they come up for sale (not often though).

I was also ... I got a pipe a couple weeks ago. :)
(ignore the Kicklet ... I took it off, too big)

Did your kiklet work? I haven't been able to get mine to work on a v2.5 :(

No I do not do discount codes... I offer stuff for as little as i possibly can given the work involved :)

As far as the kicklet goes, I still don't know why it wouldn't work, the eGo booster works fine.

When it comes to shanked pipes, Dirq has it right. Shankless are quicker to produce and more affordable.
Now that Brian has been making some beautiful new shankless pipes, I have had the time to work on freehands.
There will be a fair amount of shanked freehands and some truely artistic originals on the site in a few weeks.

It has arrived! Actually, it was probably already waiting by the mailbox during my last post.

Shankless Bent Dublin Horsehead Nebula... I love it! The V2 button is satisfyingly solid. I've tricked it out to a super-small setup, with just the Phoenix rba. I think it's hilarious. Here are some blurry pics... I'll get sharper ones when the iPhone's charged.

Short setups:
  • epipemods (shanked) Steampunk Nut V1 (18350 pipe) with Cisco 306 LR atomizer and epipemods 306 shorty drip stem.
  • epipemods Shankless Bent Dublin Horsehead Nebula V2 (18350 pipe), bell style silver cut cone for tanks, Phoenix Rebuildable Atomizer and its included driptip.

Long setups:
  • epipemods (shanked) Steampunk Nut V1 (18350 pipe) with Ego Mega B titanium atomizer and Pearl Churchwarden stem.
  • epipemods Shankless Bent Dublin Horsehead Nebula V2 (18350 pipe), flanged silver cut cone for tanks, 510 2.0 ohm bridgeless atomizer, aluminum drip shield black, Cherry Vape Universal that came with the Red Tortoise Shell Universal Peterson Pipe Stem.

I got what I wanted - a highly stealthable portable epipemod. The V2 button is solidly clicky, and has the resettable safety fuse. I wanted the ability to flip the domed button over so that it wouldn't go off in my pocket or bag while transporting. It takes quite a thwack to get the battery+button out of the shank... I'm going to need to get the hang of that.

Regarding stealth as you see with the Phoenix RBA setup, it can be very, very small. This brings me to another epiphany [review]- the taste of the Long Bottom Leaf pipe sauce, which I've come to really enjoy recently - amazing what cleaning the atomizer does to the taste of juice. Anyway - the taste of the LBL in the Phoenix is out of this world: it's super-clean, warm; you get all the subtlety, and the taste o the leaf. I was able to get 10 pipe sauce eyedropper drops into the cup, which by way of prep and setup I let soak in for a few minutes into the brand new coil/wick. Amazing - highly recommended (the Phoenix RBA and the Long Bottom Leaf pipe sauce).

In sum, I'm super happy with this beautiful piece of art and technology that Matt and epipemods made and thrilled to support and promote a local artisan and stand-up human being who puts the safety of all vapers above personal profit.

Yeah :(

I have two kiklets and tried both. I assumed it was related to the vape safe or something. Maybe it doesn't like the 18350 battery? I can try the flat top in my precise when I get home to rule that out.

It worked on mine fine, but it is an 18490 pipe ... maybe that's it?

Sorry I just can't stop myself :p

Love the new Dragon's. Just got myself the Hormigo Negro. Despite the acute angle of the connector I could not pass up the beauty of the wood and the unique design which makes it a truly beautiful work of art. I have been wanting a big battery pipe for a while so I am very excited to see its arrival. While the big battery pipes work only with 18500 flat tops or will they also work with nippled 18500 or nippled 18490's like the eFest, EH and AW's?

I tried the same battery in my P+18350 and it worked fine with the kiklet - swapped the battery and kiklet and atomizer over to my pipe and no go :(

I tried it with a 510-510 adapter too, just in case there was a problem with the connection and that didn't seem to work either. Ah well.
