If you haven't checked out our facebook page yet, now's the time to do it. Brian has made his first 11 pipes and we'll be giving them away for free through facebook. All you have to do is "like" the photo album labeled "Pipe Giveaway!!!!" to enter. Winners will be picked randomly over the next 11 business days. First winner will be announced tomorrow on facebook.

As usual I have a hard time doing anything until it's done right.
But everything is coming along quit nicely. I anticipate quite a few new products hitting the site in mid Aug.

Woa! Nice! Very generous of you guys. Hope I win! LOL . Well I've been a long time lurker but I think I'm gonna do it and put an order in for a pipe and some stems. Only thing holding me back was the shipping to my country, afraid of "lost mail". LOL. Hope my future order lands safely on my doorstep.

This is not the product I use for the initial finish.
However this wax->

This wax is supposed to be harder, higher luster, high temp resistant, finger print resistant and hand buffable.
It's great for metals as well as wood!

We've shipped a lot to the Philippines and I don't think we have ever had a problem.

re: facebook

I only started a fb account to follow epipemods and when pipes were to be posted, etc ... I never wanted to have a fb account, but thought it would be simple ... wrong

I didn't use it for about a week, someone may have hacked it, I was locked out ... I can't unlock it or even delete it until I log in, but can't log in because it's locked :-x I set a new password and that did not work

the fb "help" team says I need to send them a drivers license, ss card, passsport, student id, etc before they can unlock it or even delete it for me ... WHAT !!!?? :censored: I'm not gonna do that ... so there it sits, taking up their server space, and I'll never facebook again ... the intrusion of facebook is waaay too big-brother-ish for me, and their rules ridiculous :rules:

so, I can't even enter Brians pipe give-away, but I know someone who did ... any chance of posting pics of Brians pipes and the winners here ? ... if that's too much bother, I understand, I guess most ppl don't have my fb problems :grr:

I understand your frustration with FaceBook. And to be quite frank there are several people out there that feel the same way about the ECF. I am not knocking the ECF, and we don't plan to leave. FaceBook just helps us to reach people that we can't reach with ECF. The giveaways are focused there to help develop and generate traffic to the new source. The other reason behind moving into the FaceBook venue is that we are rapidly growing and my ability to consistently post on ECF is diminishing. We have applied for the Forum Supplier status with the ECF and are currently on a waiting list for availability. Until then we are limited to my posts from the company alone. Brian and Katie, per ECF rules, are not allowed to post or help manage the thread. Again, please don't misunderstand, We love the ECF and plan to stay, but in order to continue releasing current information and update, contests etc. We currently have to use a separate venue.
The ECF will always be home and we will continue to post release dates and regular photo's.
The Majority of posting will be on FaceBook until our ECF status allows my employee's to post here.

Again This in NO WAY is a negative statement about the ECF. It's simply our company acknowledging and adhering to their rules. And further more expanding our avenues of advertisement and marketing.

Please refrain from any negative comments about the ECF and their policy in this matter.

We love you ECF, and your rules help to keep the trolls at bay :) :rules:

hi Matt,

just to be clear, my problems with Facebook are in no way connected to you and I have no problems with you using Facebook to expand your marketing, (I definitely understand that aspect) ... I can still get to your home page and this forum ... my non-use of FB will not prevent me from following your releases or purchasing your products ... I completely understand your need for an additional social venue to further expand your business ... really, I was just venting at Facebook rules and their inability to prevent my account from being hacked in the first place, and/or resolve the resultant problem

best luck at epipe world domination :p
