I've really only ever used a drip atty, carto tank, a gennie, and one vivinova (hated the draw): so when I say the Pene's setup, I'm referring to how it draws and rebuilds. I agree, it def adds a hot mess of style to the pipe, and with that sexy connector that is on it will only make it look that much better. As far as pipe stems, if you go to eBay, there is a seller named corncobpipes that makes awesome stems that are much like Matt's. However, they do not come with a universal, and require very meticulous "crafting" to make them fit a universal. So if you don't mind buying something brand new only to hack it up (and hopefully not destroy it) then this is an option. Trust me though, Matt said he hired someone to start producing these in house, and the convenience of good to go out of the box is well with the wait.
