OK...after a night alone and a long .....'s bath this morning I am ready to report on my beloved blue dwarf. While I will never ever grow tired of some of you vets' artisan photos of your gear, I am not busting out the good camera, I don't own a small arsenal of cutlery, my cinematographer is in Bali, and I cannot afford M. Night Shamalamadingdong so you will get some simple iPhone photos
Right out of the box it was exciting. He came in the special BLUE EPM pouch that I, for one, didn't even know existed

As with most of the EPM's I have seen, the preview pics do not begin to do justice to these beautiful works of art. This is no exception,
strikingly beautiful. Somewhere between a royal/Dodger blue and a teal. The "runes" appear much more subtle in person than the preview pics would suggest, which is awesome.. I decided a more neutral colored stem would be more complimentary than one in the green or red of the "runes" on this pipe, so slapped a new silver marble "mi
thril" stem on him. I haven;t decided which direction I will go, but he will be getting a custom
tank soon. In pic 2 notice the overwhelming glare coming off the pipe. That is discussed below.

Ergonomically and functionally, this pipe is really expertly crafted. The feel of it is...well...DWARVISH. It has seemingly rough edges but they are silky smooth to the touch. Also, it is HEAVY for a 18350. A real boulder in the hand. I don't know if this is the acrylic or my imagination, but either way it is what I WANT from a dwarf so I am super happy that it exceeds my expectations there. Also, the grooves of this pipe are a
perfect fit for the grip of a thumb-firer, which I am, so that is a pleasant surprise. The boulder nestles right into my grip like a baby in her mother arms. Bad photo, but you get the "point"

Now the icing on the cake...the surprise undertone. You would have never guessed it, but this pipe glistens with silver if hit in the right light. Similar to the moon runes and key hole on the door to the Lonely Mountain, I shat you not, but this pipes gems come out in the sun. It is almost like there is pixie dust in the finish. There is significant, unmistakable glitter if you catch it in the right light! I tried to photo this about 100 different ways and this is the best I got. Notice the hundreds of white speckles from the flashbulb on this picture. All those and THOUSANDS more are speckles of silver glittery dust in the rock. It isn't subtle...in the right light it literally
sparkles. It is STRIKING.

Finally, a note on character. All my pipes have character. Jerome is pretty easy going and bro's out. He is man's best friend. He is both gentle and brave. Ebony and ivory. A lover AND a fighter. Durin? DURIN is hard. He don't f around. Like Bobby Peru, he don't come up for air. He is stern...faithful, but stern. I am currently waiting on some NET juices and so dropped some average ole RY4 in him last night and he is NOT pleased. I mean it, he ain't f-ing happy about it at all. I can't even enjoy this
juice one iota with Durin around. He vapes it with malice and a brooding disapproval. The sea was angry last night my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli. Jerome will burn just about anything and find the redeeming quality of it, he just loves to hang out. Durin, on the other hand, is unabashed in his demands...and he DEMANDS NET juices only and period and immediately. I have never had a pipe speak to me like this. A couple bass guitars, kind of, but never a pipe.
Matt, Brian, Katie, TEAM EPM...this is a masterpiece. A true jewel. A triumph.
