I also vape 100 VG juice nearly all the time, so if I vape below 5v, I find the flavor lacking.
I agree fully about the wicks and burned my share before learning less is more and stopped choking them off in the microcoils.
I also rarely use anything but a kayfun or Russian on my vv devices and usually use 1.4-1.6 ohm coils.
To be honest, this was one of my concerns initially when I was thinking about a ProVari, as I found a lot of talk about cartos being used on them, and I have no experience with cartos. I also saw enough Kayfun users saying anything less than the Provari with their Kayfun would be a step back.
After getting the Russian 91 firing and having a few hours to run through the menu and get the feel of the Provari, I think I get it and am glad I got it.
I far prefer my kayfun and Russian on the Provari to mechs. When I got my first kayfun I had a modded Sigelei 13a that I was using for rebuildables, and the vape on that was way inconsistent compared to my 'vari. Ended up trading it away. I still have a K100 kicking around, which surprisingly hits like a truck, but the kayfun style tanks look pretty wonky on there, and again, I hate having my vape quality drop off with the battery. I've got these cartotanks just sitting in my vapecase unused, which is a shame because there's a freakin' beautiful glass piece another Provarinati made for me. I've thought about finding a diver or something just to get that one into the rotation, because the kayfun style has pretty much killed cartos for me.
