esterigon has the ability to fit proteus electronics exactly as you said (by changing button tubes) and changing at the same time the small moving pin of the connector. And there is no reason to change the locking function too, so that way you will have a mech and an electronic lock. You double the security like this. Of course if you want to make it 5mm smaller, you can buy a new venting cap like proteus has
Am I right in thinking that some time in the near future Esterigon will be able to house Proteus electronics simply by changing the switch housing, allowing it to be used right up to 30 watts?

Tell me now I might be crazy but If Voltage is (E=I*R) and Current = (I=E/R)

Say I have a fresh bat 4.21Volts a Resistance of .5ohms wouldn't that give me a current of 8.2 and power watts of 33.62 am I right?

Well you have to take into consideration voltage drop of the mod and the internal resistance of the battery. So probably you will have like 3.9 volts at the atomizer which is around 30 watts so your calculations are ok.

Why are you crazy by the way? This is normal :)

Now throw 2 batteries in and let me know how you feel :D

Yup. That's why dancing below 0.8ohms can get tricky. Little mistake in calculation can get you to max draw really fast. Also, change of +/- 0.1 ohms can happen after the build.

Yes Thank You for confirming my calculations I didn't really think I was going crazy but watched some bad info which made me second guess myself. I took computer engineering and it has been a long time since I actually had to think about it :toast: I new I was right but had to make sure so I do not pass any bad info Thanks everyone.:vapor:

Any chance on seeing a nice shinny Esterigon soon I am really thinking hard on this one i only have one 18500 bat 18650 is the way i go and would wait for an 18650 tube before i really put it to good use. Hard times hard decisions. Dont get me wrong i am really excited about this one and would hate to miss out. How much will the 18650 tube be?

That IS good news.. because after Esterigon and Proteus at roughly the same time I will not be able to afford anything else for at least 100 years lol..

i will also try to make a so deep engraving that will not be able to leave the surface even if 100 years pass. I am not sure if I can do it but I will try for sure Adam

not at all labin, just full laser.

My engraver bought an industrial laser that can even cut metals. So it would be easy now to make any kind of depth. It will cost much because laser will make 24 passes instead of the usual 6 but it will worth it for sure.

The nice thing with laser is that engraving comes black and not like CNC that comes the same colour as the metal
