My plastic on my button is worn out too. No more Esterigon until parts show up. Surprised it didn't last longer than it did? No short just won't stay in anymore. Last week it started popping out so I took it apart, cleaned it and it worked for couple more days. Now it's done. Good thing I left town with a JGG just in case.

Yes Stan but if you unscrew the pin from the button you can see this plastic piece that electraglide says.

This pin must be tighten enough on the button not to cause these issues.
(if it's not... it may cause a short circuit)

thx stelioss but the problem was not a short....

like i said- it is the o ring wich keeps the button inside Esterigon

...its not the plastic, its the o-ring. The o-ring keeps the button in place.

The plastic cant be worn, except you damage its threads by crossthreading button pin inside it:)

Just got back to town. Will take apart and clean it up and see what happens. I did take it apart and reassemble a few days ago and it wouldn't stay in. May need to get new O-ring.

wonderful and awesome device as all the imeo's product.
I was wondering am i safe using my esterigon with a 0.25 ohm coil with my zenith? i'm afraid that it will be some problems expecially cause scott boner in his vid doesn't suggeto to go super low coil on it :)

Sorry... not so excited about my esterigons. At first very impressed about the design and performance, now disappointed about the button. A button only fixed by one o-ring ist not good for daily use outside home. Lost (and found :)) the button three times. Okay, have my iAttys again sit on my GGTS's...

Do not be disappointed, maybe is just a matter of installing a thicker o-ring.

On my Esterigons, when installing the button, you have to press the button assembly until it feels that the o-ring has passed through, and to uninstall it, I have to pull hard the button assembly, I mean, is not that easy like it will come off by itself, or by carrying it in the pockets, but easy enough to take it off without using any tool, just the perfect balance.

blue, the button needs a lot of force to come out. What is happening is that o-ring is damaged because of the assembling from your seller or because of your assembling. Maybe you didnt put vaseline to your o-ring.
My o-ring is on my esterigon for 3 months and its more than ok. So keep the good impressions for your esterigon because its only a metter of assembling mistake

Imeo, both esterigon's were not assembled by me and I took the button never out by myself. It just happend. Let's see, I ordered new o-rings by ESG. But I think, I prefer screwed buttons... Would be nice, if esterigon doesn't disappoint me; it's a wonderful combination with iAtty and - I hope soon - Tilemahos
