I'm just going to go out on a limb, maybe the batteries would have fit if it weren't for the meter? Tough call from these pics, can't tell about depth.
Oh yeah, it hits great!! I need to use a different pot on the next one to make it easier to change voltage.. The Infinity Pro has me spoiled for VV. This was so much fun to build, I cant wait to build a million more![]()
Awesome jimbalny! I was wondering about how to do an n/c on the inhibit. Thanks for posting that. If I can finish up this first project without screwing up too bad, maybe I'll give your design a go.![]()
do you need to have it be vari volt or can u just wire it straight with out the adjuster? i have the PTR08100W, but thats it n little know how, ? help![]()
Okay i have a few q's? as I await my parts to arrive, still need to order more parts hence the questions.
The voltage drop out..... So when I change the batteries will I lose the volts I had it set to prior to changing them?
If yes I will, does changing the pot from say the blue one to the wheel one make a difference? Does the wheel pot keep voltage when changing batts?
Space..... Would a 4aa bat box house the chip, batts and voltage reader?
Batteries.....14500 or 18650's?
Thats about it for now thanks for the upcoming response.
Im still really new to these regulators but from what I have experienced is that as for changing your batteries you will still be where your voltage was set. Changing the pot wont make any difference to keeping the voltage where it was. A pot is a pot is a pot, they all function the same. A 4aa battery box will definitely house all your components. As for batteries you can use whatever you want. This chip has an input voltage range from 4.5 to 14 volts. So If your planning on using a aa sized box just use 14500's. But I wouldn't use more than 2 batteries because the undervoltage lockout might not kick in till your batts are too undercharged which could cause battery failure.
Although I could be wrong about the UVLO so someone please correct me if im wrong.

The 100uf capacitors for this mod do they have to be 10v or can they be bigger like say 16v-20v? and any 200 ohm pot will work right?
It might be in this thread or another thread, but someone said to make sure your capacitors voltage rating is at least twice you input volts. So if you do 2 14500's which is about 8v, use 16v caps.
