Everything I buy is outdated by the time I get it

Bought a sigelei 20W a few months back. A week or two later, the Sigelei 30W came out.

Bought a 3D dripper. Less than a month later, dripping tanks hit the market.

So I buy an EHPro Pontus v1 dripping tank, only to find the EHPro Pontus v1.5 was on it's way to the store I just purchased it from before I even receive it in my mailbox.

When will the madness end?

Only when you wish it to end!

Find something that works to keep you off of cigarettes then that's the end of the train. If, however, you want to stay on top of the latest and greatest then the train never stops ;) It's like any other hobby then, innovation does not stop and you can spend all the money you want and still be left in the dust a month later.

It's only outdated, if it no longer fulfills your needs.

I agree. Just because something is not the most current model doesn't mean it's outdated. So long as it's meeting your requirements, there is no need to replace it. However there is usually a want.

After watching the mess of the iPV pre-orders, the announcement of the 50, then the 100 and now the 150 watt APVs, I'm just going to be over here vaping with my REO and basic mechs while everything settles down.

This was more of an observation. You see new vaping equipment, think you've got to have it so you get it, then the next best thing is out by the time you get it home. It's amazing how fast this industry is maturing.

Stop thinking, it's bad for your wallet

I agree though. Vaping equipment has almost become like a mainstream consumer electronic.

If it serves your needs well it's not obsolete. Don't let yourself be driven and manipulated by the market. Elsewhere on here people post threads asking if genesis RBA's are obsolete, and they really think they are, because they are all about the latest greatest new thing. Not for me they aren't, and not for a lot of others either. They are cheap to use, easy to set up once you know how, and give a great vape.

Does your vape give you good flavor and a satisfying vape? If so it's hardly obsolete, but lots of marketers want you to think it is because they want your money for what they just cooked up, and it might not even be as good. It will certainly cost you more than it's worth.

It's not as bad if you're not chasing the Chinese. They seem to out out a new product every 15 minutes. Companies like Provape and Reo, not as much. And then there's the mechs who, may have a new product, but last years tubes are not any less tubular than this years tubes.

Ya know, I've noticed that myself! My Nemesis is just as tubular as my first mechs were! They are all round and long! They look a little different from each other, but basically they are all tubes.... who knew?

Oh just spot on. EXACTLY.

Those crummy old mechs are obsolete. Those VV devices are pants compared to VW. 20 Watts? Hahahahah, that's so yesterday.

It can't be said enough; whatever keeps you off the stink sticks is the best gear out there.

I know, caged, you said it was just an observation and you're right; the ship never hits port because the experience is constantly evolving. So, no, it never ends. You can choose to get off at any point but if you want to hang on then it's just going to be newer and better stuff every day.

Don't get me wrong. What I have works great, but it's not perfect and I am in search of the ultimate vape. When I got my 20W, I never thought I'd ever use 20 watts but here I am vaping spicy peach mango at 20 watts (vaping hot peppers is awesome) and now I am ready for more. I wasn't even interested in RBAs when i got my 20W but now I have 6 of them and even geeked out over wicking material for a while. I guess I am hoping 50 watts will be satisfying with 0 nic 100% VG e-juice. My EHPro Pontus is fantastic (easily the best RBA I own), but even it could use a few improvements.

Vaping gets you in two ways. You have the NIC habit that we had when most of us were smoking, but now many of us also have the electronics/gadget/building hobby to fuel it.

As soon as you realize you can just vape the stuff that works and stop buying status symbols instead. Hand over the credit cards before someone gets hurt. :p

How do you like the hot pepper vape anyway? I'm a pepper hound too, I'm dying to know but have been *really* leary about trying it out...

It's awesome, but I would like it even hotter (I want it to be slightly painful). Since my stomach doesn't handle spicy foods well anymore this is how I am getting my fix. I got it from Opensource Vapor if you're interested (I ordered the Flavor Junkie just to get more hot pepper). I will definitely be ordering this stuff again. He gave me a sample vial of the hot pepper extract he uses so I could add it to other flavors, but I am thinking about vaping it straight. In any case, it's spicy but not painfully so. Great flavor.
