Plenty of feed back both good and bad.

I own (2) eVic and have no issues. Both work just as (I) expect them to.
For me it works excellent between 1.7-2.8ohm resistances and 6.4-9w depending on E-liquid

Some say the 5v limit is to low.
Many never Vape anywhere near the limits.

yeah I have a couple mods that go to 6 volts but dont think I have ever vaped over about 4.5 volts

I own one and I have been really happy with it. I recently upgraded it using the bOd telescopic tube and top cap from Greek Vapes. I use it with my fluid flask tank and carto set up and people freak out when they find out it's an eVic. The stock eVic works very well but can look a little on the plain side but there are many ways to make it look better and perform better as well. So purchasing an eVic would be a good move in my opinion.

The eVic in the pitctures can be used with any battery such as 18350, 18490 and the 18650 without switching out any parts.

Picture # 1 is using the 18650 battery that comes with the eVic
Picture # 2 is using the 18350 battery for an eVic mini.

My eVic has a few issues. It has frozen on me twice while attempting to make adjustments. I had to remove and re-insert the battery twice to restore functionality. On one of the freezes, the clock had mysteriously reset itself to 00:00, when I tried to reset the clock, it froze up. Another time, I was adjusting the wattage, and it froze again. The screen can't be viewed out doors, at least I can't on mine. One time when I had it set to wattage and was making an adjustment, it changed itself to vv.

Hello Folks has anyone tryed the eVic mod and if so how is it working out for you? Thinking about getting one but would like some feed back first

Look up the joyetech eVic recall lsit and make sure you don't have one that was recalled. I had to return two becuase they were on the list. My third unit was not on the list and works great.

Is it running the 1.2 firmware?

I'm not on the list, and I'm also on v1.2. I know not all the eVic's probably won't have issues, but I feel I should point out what is going on with mine.

Have you tried a factory reset and reflash? Here is a link to all the files you need to preform the reset. Just flash the reset hex code, followed by a reflash of the 1.2 firmware. This took care of all the issues I was having with count resets and random freezes. Never had the clock issue.

I'll try that. Thanks.

Well, I've had my eVic about 24 hours, and so far, I'm impressed. It produces a VERY nice vape, seems to have very accurate metering, and charging the factory battery via USB is quick.

The menu system has pretty steep learning curve, and the manual that comes with it--although surprisingly well-written for Chinese vape product--is printed in microfilm-sized type, and practically requires a magnifying glass to read.

The only issue I've had so far is that when I was trying to charge a Panasonic 3400mAh battery in the eVic via USB, the head started to gt sort of warm, and actually made the temperature warning icon flash (meaning it was higher than 35°C). Simple fix to this was to just charge that high-mAh Panasonic battery in a standard wall charger...

Fit and finish is very nice. The threads on all connections are smooth and even on my unit. I also got one of the "optional" black body kits (cone and battery tube), which REALLY looks spiffy and a green eGo-T Mod battery tube (both of which look REALLY nice) and the fit and finish are excellent, and the threads on those "accessories" are butter-smooth. To smooth things up even more, and ensure I have good contacts, I always work some conductive anti-oxidant compound into the threads (I use Ox-Gard from Gardner-Bender, because Noalox is getting REALLY hard to find--even on-line...)

The "fire" button is nice and "clicky", and the menu ring is responsive and quick. Like I said, the menu system takes a while to learn, and the MVS software leaves a LOT to be desired, but all in all, the eVic has LOT of potential. It is small, light, sturdy-feeling and has a VERY "state-of-the-art" look and feel.

I'm still figuring out and dialing in the programmable "vape curves" feature, but so far this feature is what makes this device attractive to me. I wish you could put more than one MVR-VW program into the device, but that may be a feature we see in future firmware revisions. The great strength of software-based devices is that "upgrades" are easy to do, and can be done by the user with nothing more than a laptop, a USB cable, and an Internet connection.

We shall see how it holds up over time. I'm pretty gentle on my mods--I rarely drop or knock them over and I RELIGIOUSLY use lanyards, so my assessment of any mod's durability might not jibe with the prevailing opinions of the fumble-fingered masses that seem to populate vaping, but then again, I don't have a lot of disposable income, and even t under $100, the eVic represents a pretty substantial purchase for me, so I have more motivtion than some of the folks here to actually take care of my gear... ;-)

The evic was my first mod. Loved it until it died on me. lasted 40,000+ puffs and 4 months. The ohm meter is now reading incorrectly, it is reading my 2.0ohm cartos at 0.5ohm. Tells me that the atomizer short. I tried different tanks, rbas and clearos and it does not work. Ordered my provari now. I loved the functions on it, however, not reliable. Be prepared to dish out some cash for a new one.
