notice the ‘locking lug’

wish there was a corresponding one inside the cast cavity
that resides inside the body, but there is not…

seems just a ‘little’ more thinking would have made it close to foolproof…

Thanks, pufZeppelin! That makes me feel better. But, as you say, a little extra effort could have made it foolproof.

have read the whole thread but any1 else have a lose 510 and tanks not sitting flush
Had that same issue with one of my subtanks, the other one sat fine oddly enough.... I used the black plastic circle that sits on the top of batteries and sat it around the 510.. Works perfect and has stuck in place for more than a month

Yea it just stuck to the mod around the 510, the circle is from 18650/18350s and sits around the positive top... I used a old battery, just unpeel the wrapper and it is held on by a little glue..

That would be a neat thing to do - let us know if you get that to work. It's starting to sound like a janky 510 i some of the units might be the issue with this mod. :thumb:

well i took it apart, 1st problem is hole on top is too small for the fatdaddy so would need to widen it.
main problem is the lenght of fatdaddy is too long and will most likely hit the board but might be resolved by putting spacers between fatdaddy and mod body.
the metal cradle holding the 510 might be in the way.

FD V3 Shorty would probably be your only possibility there. Let us know how it goes. May solve a multitude of sins.

for now it works fine my only prob is gap between atomizer and mod body and atomizer is able to slightly wobble, 510 is held in place by a metal cradle which would be almost unbreakable by the wobbling

After running on only SS TC since FW 2.0 update with great success, I decided to try Ni mode again, just to see whether FW 2.0 has made any improvement with regards to the weak vape issue. Although at first it vaped superbly, I'm sad to report that the problem is still not corrected (at least for me). What's worst now is in SS mode, it won't ask me whether I have a new coil or not when changing different SS coil build tanks. I'm not sure whether its because of the stucked 510 pin or because I tried using Ni mode, but this made me want to get another mod. I just want a mod that'll work with Ni and SS reliably everytime.
