Here's hoping the next update brings a single/dual coil setting like my X Cube II. I prefer a single spaced twisted 28 gauge SS430 coil made from two wires.

Why wouldn't a custom TCR work, downloaded from SteamEngine site work, where they have multi wire settings, not sure how that effects overall TCR, as I stick with single wire builds. What's the "single/dual" setting do on an Xcube?
Didn't work on my old Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Tried a few times, then ran Windows XP, under Parallels, on the Mac. That worked.
Take a look at the ego one clr coils. They are rebuildable and have 2, much larger, holes for juice to wick into. I have some on order. 5 packs are about same price as non rebuildable cl coil heads.

Grrrrr lucky you! I got the tron tank but couldn't grab any CLR coils just-yet... However, so-far, I am really enjoying the stock coils. I see/feel/experience nothing of concern or issue with the coil (kanthal) that came pre-installed at 1.0ohm, other-than the fact that it was actually at 1.2 ohms by the time I began vaping on it, but, nobody/machine is perfect, right? I definitely support the egoONE/tron.
A few rolls of SS 430 showed up at my door this weekend.
I've been enjoying the smoothest, tastiest vape I've had in days.
The new TCR feature seems to be working great.
I like the properties of this wire. It's not too springy, just enough, holds its shape well and doesn't deform when pulling cotton through.
It's a pleasure to handle and work with.

So what happened? is it an encryption issue, a generic software issue, or are they the same chips (or very similar?) haha?

Posted same question a week ago and no interest, so trying again. Does anyone know why the VTC Mini with Tron is not available at any of the US vendors, only the Chinese distributors? Would prefer familiar vendors in the event of warranty or shipping issues.

Hello again. So I updated to 3.0 last night( good riddance puff counter and vape time, i dgaf )and using 26ga ss316 dual 2.5mm .22 ohm contact coils on doge/holy grail clone. i have used the stock manual tcr (0120) and 2 recommended here (0920, & 0880) &the stock ss316 setting and personal experience is that 0920 tcr is the better vape, and finally that nickel taste is gone

Hey Mactavish....since you know Ti really well, would you happen to know the tcr# for Sweet Spot 0.5?? I asked SSV and they sent me the .csv files. I used the .csv files for my DNA 200's but need a number for my VTC Mini. I read somewhere that SSV wire is grade 2 so should I use 0353?? Thanx!!

If I remember right, they even carry small squares of SS Mesh, in different hole-distance/size options, which, for the most part, many US vendors have STOPPED carrying all-together! (which is NUTS considering, im sure there is still a huge amnt of ppl using genesis tanks, right!? crazy!) Best of all, the price of the Evic VTC Mini is 1 of the lowest on the net, so is their price on the Subox Mini, I got BOTH mods, and a bunch of side gear, an RDA, plus a 30ml bottle of juice, all for under $150usd, which was great, because that was my budget. While I would love to help, I have steered clear of that brand, since as you have read, it's NOT G1 titanium, and for me one one of the main reasons to choose titanium for your vaping wire, is to avoid alloys, and mixed metals. I suppose you could experiment with the TCR values, and attempt to match your DNA mod. When you run out, get some Grade #1 Ti.
