as for vg affecting chest/lungs it seems it depends on source or producer of vg.
i diy my juice, when i was using life brand vg it did make my chest feel "heavy", for the lack of a better word, when mixing high vg juices.
i then ordered a gallon(4liters) from coop coco and i didnt get that heavy feeling. maybe its just in my head idk.
info on Vegetable glycerine: certified GMO free, pharmaceutical grade (USP) and kosher,
Origin: Coconut
Glycerin, vegetable source USP | Coop Coco

imo, ymmv

What I was using at the time was what I had purchased from AVEJuice that was in their Boba's Bounty and Gryphons Breath High VG blends, but when I started using a 50/50 MBV base (where ever their VG/PG was sourced from) along with my Nic solution when I started to DIY I noticed an immediate difference, for the better. Now I am about ready to start using some ED VG/PG, so I will see how that works out, but I do like a 65/35 PG/VG ratio now (especially during these Minnesota winters). I know some like the Coconut based VG/PG better than some of the other bases, but I haven't tried that yet.

This got WAY off track, I apologize for that.

I do love my mini though, and will venture into TC at some point in time, but for the price, the VTC mini and the Cuboid make Great Kanthal/Power devices. I am using a Cuboid/Lemo V1 as I type, with a VTC mini/Aromamizer SC-200 in the next room. Very Happy Vaper !!

VT Software to Upgrade eVic-VTC Mini
This VT software is for upgrading your eVic-VTC Mini to Firmware. Your temperature control device will be always up to date because of upgradeable firmware.

What’s new in Version 3.01?
Newly added Start Mode for those who are new to the CUBIS and BF heads. You can easily get started. The BF SS-316 and BF Clapton series heads can be applied under this mode. Based on it’s resistance, there will be an recommended output range with the dash line marking the maximum. You can get the best vaping experience when using in this recommended range. Still you can adjust the wattage beyond the range as to your preference.

Note: 1. The Start Mode will aromatically save ten groups of output settings. Each resistance contains an output power setting. It can be adjusted and will be saved once you changed the output wattage.
Note: 2. When ten groups of profiles are saved, the first profile will be deleted if a new resistance is added. And it is the same to continue.
Note: 3. On the display, the dash line with the word BF represents the recommended maximum output wattage for current BF atomizer head.

What's a "BF" head?
I haven't looked at the Cubis... at all, so now I have to go see what that is. :p

I'm glad JT is continuing with the updates, though this appears directed more towards less experienced vapers. If it helps them, I'm for it.

I've even tried something new and somewhat similar with my TC setups... I run them in Celsius, so I don't have a preformed opinion of where to set the temp. Just playing around with it, seems to work though.

Yes... you may laugh at me now. If it isn't near freezing, room temp or boiling... I don't do the conversion in my head. :D

Hey @Steelgirl , what's a Troll? Did you mean Tron? If you meant tron - where did you find SS 316 coils for that tank?

I have the evic vtc mini with tron tank - but haven't tried out the tank yet.

Thanks!
The Troll is a dripper.

With 3.01 it's possible to decrease wattage under TC modes. While wattage has been selected (blinking) one has to click "up" first and can then use "down" also.

Oh my gawd... are you kidding?
That's been my singular complaint about the VTC UI and you just described the exact solution that Busardo proposed a couple of months ago.

I guess I'll be grabbing the update after all. :D

eta: Just installed it (love the ease of the JT app) and it's true.
No more Round Robin with the power in TC modes. I'm a happy camper.

Doubt I'll find the Start mode useful, but I'll play with it on a few attys later.
At first blush... it appears to begin with a conservatively low watt setting.
Makes sense.

Good catch. It resets them all to the original 120.
I've been using 125 for my 316 so I didn't quite notice.
I did feel something was off, but it needs new wick so I hadn't thought of the TCR.

as i'm using ti wire and m1 there was no way for me to miss it. box went to tp immediately with no vape at all. i wasn't sure what was up but when it vaped ok in native ti mode the light bulb in my mind lit up. the upgrade also resets puff count and timer.

It seems like the 3.01 firmware make the SS TC vape even smoother. The 3.00 firmware almost eliminated the "pulses" from earlier firmware while this version seems to have made them go away all together. I only noticed slight pulsing occasionally on certain settings using 3.0. Can't seem to make them happen at all now.

I don't know a thing about the new Start Mode but the rest of the upgrade seems great so far. The dreaded up-only wattage adjustment is fixed at last. If that was the only change it would still be a can't miss update. Maybe PBusardo turned the Hypnotoad on them during his last trip to China. All glory to the Hypnotoad!

The mini was first mod I got. Like it alot. Just with other tanks needed more life on battery. Found some rebuildable coils for the ego tank. Wish I had gotten before I upgraded my mod to the releaux 200. The clr coil vapes great for such small coil horizantol and very small amount of cotton. Found the coils on worldsfinest vapes I think for 3.oo each. Way cheaper than other sites. Even think these coils make thicker clouds than my rage tank.
