I also wonder what the profit margin is on some of these DNA mods? I know what it would cost me to make one, I've been planing a build, and if I sold mine at $250 it would be more than %150 profit.

Just wondering if you included your build time in that calc. If so, at what rate per hour?

If a Chinese manufacturer made a 30W capable device, I wouldn't hesitate at all to order one, DNA guts cloned or not. But that Hana Modz clone, looks terrible, the top section appears to break into 2 halves which means you'll have a seam running across your drip well, not the best place for juice to leak into lol

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that exactly how the older version hanas were made? (with the seam across the top) Not that that's a good thing either way. Guess they cloned the wrong version.

Much about little.

Remember when the Lavastick was going to put the poor folk at ProVape out of business?

Yeah, no doubt. Just like anything else...you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap clone, well sorry counterfeit, that will last a few months and will have no warranty or anyone to stand behind the product (if they would they would put their name on it) then get the counterfeit. If you want a quality piece made of the best materials that will last and have a warranty and a company standing behind the product then save money and buy the original. I used my evod and saved money from the time I first saw the ZNA. Sure I might have could bought 3 or 4 china made counterfeits but would have had to anyway to last as long.

the chips themselves are 20 bucks
Oh wow, so you can save a whopping $15.00 if you buy a cloned DNA-20 instead of a real DNA-30? Yeah, I know "MSRP" on real DNAs is $50, but they wholesale for $35 in lots of 100 and there's a coop going on right NOW.

It means you don't have to pay somebody an extra $200 to throw it in a $2 aluminum case with a $3 510 connection.

Would be great to hear from one of the big makers like Atmomixani to know if they have felt any loss of business due to clones...

IMO they always seem sold out and they get exposure... they seem to push out a lot of their bonus parts as well.

There is a popular study used at collages and uni's that shows how HP and IBM massively benefited from Xerox ripping them off. I may of got the company names mixed up but the point stands.

v1ck.
