Ordered my Plus's from FT on Christmas day, being delivered today. Not bad for Holiday season.

Ordered the single coil decks from SC the same day, got them over a week ago.

Been staring at built up deck for a week now just waiting on an atty to put it in.

I hope you like it as much as I do? You mite want to try a reduced nic % in the Plus.
It is a Big Powerful build type of atty.

TBH, I have never tried a regular coil in the Profile. The mesh, at least for me, gives such a satisfying vape I have had no urge to try it with a coil.

I mite just give one a try I run the 4 core Nichrome coils in my Squeezers & they perform real well! So the Profile will have to be pretty great to change my mind about Clapton coils.

Nope, I at first was vaping them at 70 watts, but later dropped that down to 60 watts with the AFC opened by a third.

I run mine at 90 watts with the AFC opened about a quarter of the way.
BTW after only a few tanks the flavour is dropping off a bit now

Interesting... about 30ml through mine and it is still holding up well. I'd say here they should be no problem for the first 100ml anyway.

Well the only way to find out is to try. Saying that, your earlier question has sparked my curiosity so I’ll try a coil in the Profile later today and let you know my thoughts.

If you are interested in the Profile, I found it a little uncontrollable with an unregulated device. Some have mentioned over on the Profile thread that at full battery, it is a bit of an unruly vape, but settles in nicely once the batteries start to drain. It also comes with a bit of a learning curve with squonking….there is A LOT of wick in that RDA! Full thickness of a Rayon rope, or a full Japanese organic cotton pad.

My SC Plus is going to need some more BTUs. I believe a couple of staple staggered fused Claptons should do the job. Now I need to purchase some 20g, 24g, 32g, and 34g wire so I can build them. You think in about 6 hours I can knockout a pair?

I have one postless deck set up with 2 of these, it's quite a Big Vape. Place them close to the Air flow holes

Smok Nord 0.6 ohm mesh.

My wife "toasted" her cotton in both her .6 ohm coils, more are on the way. Using the 1.2's till then......I think she likes the burnt flavor.
Edit: 1.4 ohm coils not 1.2

Back on the 4th I actually thought I'd have it by now. I suspect that there is something off with the bar code. At least now I think I'll eventually get it, probably it's just sitting in the reject bin waiting for a human to "help it along".

I built up another Plus to be my desk Mod at work.

@Steamer861 , do I have the spacing right on the coil? Looks like I could wrap my clapton sticks a little tighter next time.

My first attempt at this build leaked horribly. Pulled the deck back out and redistributed the tails and all seems good now. The instructions said to use a min 75% VG or it might leak, I am using 50/50 so that might be part of the issue.

Still surfing for the right Temp/juice/air flow to get the most flavor out of my Peach Meddley juice. But really liking this atty for a desk mod, wouldnt want to use it as a pocket mod though. Checking the coil is a bit messy as compared to the Merlin, but all in all it seems like a decent atty.

What is wrong with checking the coil by looking down the drip tip?

Nothing I guess, never considered it to be honest. I just got accustomed to pulling the deck out and rinsing the wick while I was in there. This is just messier, but now that I know that, I will just be prepared.

I duuno, Mike. I'm pretty klutzy, normally, and I don't find the SV2 to be much messier than the original or V2s. I think it'll get less messy with practice though.
