$24 for shipping a lipo!! Yikes! Do they wear a mask when the sell those?

You know they Do! :)

Steamer, that's just a "buck" control module, call it a higher end regulator. You'd still need some kind of DC supply to be able to use it.

Here's a Video on the way cheap unit, it takes a plug in the back power unit like a lot of other things. It looks like it will do the same thing as the more expensive ones, well probably not as well & not for as long, but Hey I dont need a really good one to revive the odd lipo once & a while :)

True, but CV/CC supplies have tons of uses besides just bring overly drained lipos back to life. You can use them as battery chargers and/or power supplies for most electronics. Plus you have a readout on the voltage, current, and possibly others things too. I use one or two of them like once or twice a week for something around here. ;)

This happens a lot in the middle of the night and on weekends. It isn't just USPS, but most everybody. I just don't get it. Why would you have a system that you can never depend on? It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Like if this laptop I am on right now just suddenly craps out or something, it isn't any big deal. I have two more in the rack on instant standby ready to take its place in 2 seconds. If they suddenly go, I have more I can load into the rack. What's so hard?

EEVblog... Dave can be annoying as all get out some times.

I use his tube amp video all the time for people in the Headphone group who sing the praises of junk Chinese amps... Sorry guys you are going to be looking around $500 for a semi decent OTL or OTC tube amplifier for headphones, not $59 off Amazon.

I've seen that before a couple times too, I take it you're a night owl like me? I had a thought on this, is it because in the middle of the night they have planes landing, unloading and loading those packages into trucks? During those hours there would be probably a 3-4 hour span where the packages are going through that suffle and rather then posting in the system each exchange between plane, depot, sorting and loading on trucks they just wait until that time passes?

When I was doing auto damage appraisals for insurance companies I had one assignment for a DHL delivery van, when I called to set up a time to inspect it they told me the only time the van is stationary would be during loading at the depot and I would have to look at it then, they gave me a time of 5AM or middle of the night, I took the 5AM. This depot was at an airport, when I got there a guy escorted me out to the loading dock and stayed with me the entire time. The building was long and about four car lengths width wise, on each side was overhead doors where they back the vans in, there was about 20 vans on each side, down the center of the build was one long conveyor belt all the packages were sent down. They had the containers taken off the planes, one side was rounded the shape of the inside of the plane's fuselage, at the front of the conveyor they were pulling packages out of those containers and sending them down the conveyor. The guys packing the delivery trucks would scan packages and and throw it (and I mean throw it) either inside the van to where another guy was packing or on the floor. I asked why they were throwing packages on the floor, I was told those on the floor were to be delivered first, the later in the route packages went in the vans first, made sense. It was quite a sight to see, everything and everyone was moving blazing fast. I'm really surprised we don't see a lot more damaged goods than we do, they were not gentle and I saw one Dell package the perfect size of a laptop get thrown five feet to the floor.

I know it's probably not safe to try and salvage this lipo :( Whats really crappy is on Amazon the price went up! I got this one for $37 Canadian Dollars with Free Shipping (Prime) Now they want $30 plus $24 shipping! This battery is So much bigger than the original HCigar 3S that is in there now, I bet that would equal a lot more run time? And it was only in there for about a week! So basically still new :(
Found this Bargin Bench Power Supply @ FT :) https://www.fasttech.com/products/6023301
Tempting!
Myself I would shirt can that LiPo, down too low for probably too long. They are dangerous enough charging when in good shape so........
Just not worth it (IMO)

The thing is, it's so big compared to the HCigar 3S that's in there now! I never got the chance to compare run times, but Im sure it would have been a lot longer!
I really like the VT, it only sits a 22mm but besides that it's a Good Mod :)
$37 delivered here in Canada is a pretty good price, TBH I would have ordered another for my second VT if they were still available for $37.
Bill was saying on US Amazon they are way cheaper! I would recommend this battery for anyone needing a replacement for their VT200 :)
In the Recycling Bin it goes :(

Hmm.. I have Prime, if it's under Prime the shipping to me would be free. Would there be any savings if I ordered one and mailed it to you? Are there any restrictions in Canada keeping me from mailing you a lipo? Wonder if the postal system here has any here, I dig and see what I come up with. Also have no idea what the mailing cost would be. If you want, give me a zip code, the name and info on the lipo. I can try to figure it all out later today and let you know the cost of the battery plus the cost to send it, and if it's OK to ship from my end. I'm in NY so it shouldn't take long to hit the boarder, heck I can drive to Niagara Falls in two hours.

Li-on battery not installed in device is required to be shipped by ground.

Thats a very generous offer Willy! I think dwcraig1 is rite, lipos are only ground shipping. I went on the venom web site & shipping to Canada for 2 of these batteries is $74! My VT's are both working with the original batteries, for now, you never know the free shipping on them thru prime mite come back at some point? If it does I will get 2 spares :)
Thanks again :)

Well if you get the urge to make a trip to the falls one day I'll meet you on this side, ya see, I'm not allowed in Canada anymore. Back in my drinking days I got a DWI and since (last I knew) Canada won't allow anyone with a DWI in unless they got through a process and I think you also have to pay a fee. I use to go all the time, my wife and I use to spend a week up there every summer. She wants me to go through the process, I said Hell No! Thing is, they let anyone from Canada in with a DWI on their record for a one time $50 cost but going the other way it's jump through the hoops. What really set me off was the language they (gov in Canada) used, saying "those people are undesirable and not welcome" or to that effect. I gave up drinking and have been sober for decades, guess no one has a right to turn their life around and redeem themselves. After I stopped drinking I got and have a full conceal carry permit, I use to teach pistol safety classes needed for the judge here to allow someone to get a permit, but I'm not trusted north of the border... It's all fubar
