Right now in my car....

101f... That's the temp not the heat index. Just July to me. August we'll hit triple digits regularly and usually 107 to 110 is not uncommon.

Yeah but that's inside the car. My alarm does that too.... I never use it. Did you know you can set that to start your car if it hits a certain temp inside... Or if the battery voltage drops? I don't have those options set, but my son has that alarm and I have the same one with a color screen in my truck.

Anyone ever try these fans that go in the side window and help keep the car cooler? I always wondered if the worked well. Google
I bought one at a dollar store once. They don't work. The window shades help, but when it's 100+ outside, it's going to be hot in the car. Black cars are even worse.

Well I got my first dirty looks and comments from vaping today, at the doctors office with my Mrs.

Got the lecture about how bad it is, it's been found to have toxins, etc.... Got it from the doctor, nurse and the receptionist! <shakes head>

I didn't even comment with anything except for "everything's bad for you"

I saw a review that those drop temps about a degree or two. Not very effective.

I'm 0 for 2

I think it hit 85°F today. There's a bunch of features that I don't use but this one is helpful since I know how hot or cold it is inside the car so I can start it before I get to it. It also has much better range than the factory keyfob.

Wow, I would have let loose on them, walked out and found a new doctor. You saw my posts about my throat cancer didn't you? I had two separate oncologists, both told me vaping does not cause cancer, it was the 40 years of smoking. In fact they told me I could keep on vaping, even during my radiation treatments! I vaped on the way to my treatments and picked up my mod as soon as I walked back to the car. I never let up on my vaping and my cancer is now gone. I'd love to talk to that doctor, what a bunch of BS. I'd like to know where he got his info on vaping!

My doctor has known about me vaping since the beginning, wife has same doctor, recently while seeing the doctor wife was getting told about smoking (still smokes).
I pull out my DNA200 and Doc says she has nothing bad to say about that. (I kind of condensed it but that was the run of it)

Makes me mad as hell to think a doctor would condemn vaping, smokers might think they may as well keep smoking if vaping is just as bad. I would have asked him what medical journal he read that stated vaping is harmful and inform him in the UK doctors have embraced vaping as a medical breakthrough to get people off cigarettes and save lives! Does he own stock in Phillip Morris? What his medical field or expertise, podiatrist or proctologist? I'm betting the later and he's become what he practices on. These people need to see the movie, A Billion Lives! The truth is coming out! a**hats! :grr:

The doctor is actually a rheumatoid arthritis doctor. She and I both have it (the Mrs and I have RA) and see the same doctor. Not to add gas to the fire, but I generally take my mods with me inside places even though I rarely vape inside businesses. Why? Because as we've been discussing I live in Texas and it gets hot here in the summer time (9 months out of the year LOL) and I don't want to be one of those guys on the news who's car catches fire because the batteries got hot... Plus the heat usually makes tanks leak, I guess it thins out the juice.

Anyway, the doctor has seen my vape before. Commented on it and everything because it looked like a flask (it was my Vaporflask dna200). But today the comments were negative.

I give up trying to defend my actions to people. Hell eating McDonald's is bad for you! But I love me a Big Mac [emoji488] and fries [emoji489]

I've been verbally abused about cigars (many times), but this was my first on vaping. I like the doctor so I'll just keep it in my pocket next time.

I love my Clifford 5902x system. I have the cellular adapter too where I can control it from the phone. Which isnt as useful as you'd think. It's great on hot days or cold days and you are far away from the car (ie: the other side of the mall) which is too far for the key fob but the phone works to start the car and get the car more comfortable by the time you get there... Plus it notifies you of alarms email and sms. But I very rarely used the phone part, in fact the subscription is expired right now and I think it's $179 for 3 years? (smartstart) and I didn't renew it. 99 times out of 100 I just use the key fob, which it's distance is good enough.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I bought a '97 Jeep from "Shifty of Encino", AKA my son the used car dealer. It had remote locks but no fobs came with it. I went to the Jeep dealer and found out one new fob would cost $80, programmed. That seemed just a tad expensive to me, especially needing two fobs. So I went on FleaBay and bought a remote system complete with locking, remote start, alarm and temperature sensing or automatic start based on time or temperature. It works from about 1000 feet away and was under $100. I love the remote start, especially in the winter time, and if I want to add to it I can get additional relays to control the windows remotely as well.
