I've called every time it's happened. Each time I've been careful to stress that I have video of the entire delivery. What was interesting this time was the Amazon rep was going to put a permanent note on my "delivery instructions" not to drive on the lawn or yard. She was surprised to find that note already there.
The worst are Laser Ship. They use an Uber model to hire drivers, with their own vehicles, and seem to get the very dregs when it comes to drivers. I started out my "real" employment as a delivery driver for a lumber yard/home store driving a "bread truck". I HAD to learn how to back it up from day one. It's not hard, just watch the mirrors the whole time, checking, quickly, out the windshield to make sure you're going straight. Heck, the same is true with a trailer but trailers are more complicated. To me if you can't back up a van style vehicle properly you shouldn't be driving it, let alone be a "delivery driver".
I've never had UPS, FedX or USPS make a U turn on the lawn. Our driveway is a straight shot of about 150 feet from the street to the gate. OK, the USPS driver we have now isn't great at backing up and wanders off a little, sometimes, but she manages to do it and is getting better with practice. Only Amazon delivery drivers seem to feel that a yard or lawn are appropriate areas to drive on here. When I catch them at it I go out and confront them, verbally and very forcefully. Unfortunately they seem to change drivers every day, high turn over I guess.
Next step will be spike strips down both sides of the driveway from the street to the gate. All it'll take is some 2x6 and 20 penny nails. That should tone it down very quickly.
