Then there was the Epson all in one printer with a bag of 3rd party ink that someone discarded. All went well till I upgraded the firmware and it no longer recognized the ink cartridges. I actually knew of such a problem but well....forgot. On this one there's no going back to earlier firmware. I put it back where I found it.

posting only because i know some people here save lots of stuff they no longer use ;)

from the iowa parrot rescue:
One of our security camera systems has died (moment of silence). It was a 10 year old First Alert unit, four channels wired cameras. It appears that the monitor, cameras and cables are fine...it's the central recording unit that's U/S. Won't power up at all. Anybody have an old one lying around that they'd like to donate?

I'm curious about what brand and model PoE switches we're talking about here. I have yet to encounter that at all.
The boss always tried the most frugal solution first with TP Link or DLink switches and injectors, power bumps would sometimes leave the injectors in a stupid state. Once he started spending a little more on HP ProCurve gear the problems went away.

Maybe the handwriting is on the wall for vaping products.

I would say So :( Lately I'v noticed a lot of rehashing of old releases, the china web sites have very little New Content, so their releasing old stuff again! Not even new & improved the same old stuff! :(
No ones going to watch a review of a 2 year old atty/ mod :(

I attempted to install the IOS 13.5 today, well I did eventually. First the update failed, then it failed again. Then it went into recovery mode and wanted to update then restore to factory settings and that failed. Again and again update and recovery failed. An hour or so later it succeed, then I had to jump through all the personal info stuff.

Does anyone have an idea as to how Vicious Ant attached the B- copper wire to the aluminum case. Is there special solder for that? Also I found the 3 board screws a bit loose, when tight they should provide a good enough ground. More is better I guess.
The black wire loops back under the board and attaches to the case.

My guess is they used aluminum solder. And aluminum solder requires a hella lot of heat.

The spot looks poorly done. But as I said the board screws should be good enough as long as they are tight.

So what this is all about is a guy from Germany posted about a problem with his Vicious Ant Club Omega DNA75 over yonder. Here's a pic of his in Device Monitor.
