I would not have been able to make the switch if 20mg was the highest available. 36 was tough enough. I have worked down but plateaued at 18.

Is there a non salt 36mg option for "off the shelf" pre-made juice?
I'v made my own juice for years now, but vaguely remember the highest option was 24mg for off the shelf juices way back when I was buying it that way.

I smoked a pack & a half a day & started with 18mg juice, I have since worked my way down to 1mg :)

There was when I started back in 2013, it was quite common back then. I have been making my own juice for so long that I havent kept up with who might still offer it. A casual google turned up several 36mg non-salt flavored nics without having to dig too deep.

I think it has a lot of it has to do with what you smoked before. I inhaled 60 gauge cigars, so I needed higher nic and was accustomed to a higher throat hit. I have heard of others who smoked non-filtered Camels or Lucky Strikes or whatever who also did better with 36mg.

As for me, I never had the desire cut it back, it works for me and keeps me off the stogies so I am happy.

An old thread about it.

I was a full flavor Marlboro and later Kentucky Finest full. When I started vaping the 36 worked fine for me, over the years I am down to 15. It has worked fine for me for probably two years.

How are you doing, Mike?

Canada finally makes some smart vaping legislation NB & BC both pass 20mg nic limit in store bought juices & pods! That illuminates both Juul pods :)
I'v been saying all along 35 & 50 mg are too high!
I agree on the high nic salts. But the flavor ban here in NS is moronic. Flavorless and Tobacco are the only juices we are allowed to sell now, so the boss picked up a Tobacco retail licence so we can sell smokes...

A lot of shops have just changed the labels on existing stock to Tobacco #1, 2, 3 etc. That will work until the first inspector stops by for a check. The fines will be intense, they have broadened the "Tobacco Definitions" in the laws to allow for easy changes down the road.

I see a lot of Canadian vape shops closing down the road, especially when the 50 cents per ml tax drops in September.

Tobacco tax funds pension plans and they want to keep it that way.

Hanging in there. It would have been much easier if they had just canned me cold. Having to do this "knowledge transfer" is a humbling experience. In theory, I already earned my severance, but they are holding it hostage on condition that I do the turnover.

I am being an open book. I am answering any question they ask. (if they know enough to ask it)

The "humbling experience" was one of the things that struck me about your situation and in a few others I know personally. To me that that behavior is so lacking in simple human compassion as to actually shock and disgust me. I thought at seventy-five I was over being shocked, though I remain disgusted frequently. My best wishes to you, though that statement is so inadequate and does not adequately express my thoughts and feelings for your situation.

I didn't realize they had banned flavours also :( As simplistic as this mite sound, would it be illegal to sell unflavoured & include a separate flavour shot? A work around?
Technically you would be selling 2 different products , I'm assuming are both still legal?

Flavor shots are a awesome idea but they have made it illegal to sell them in the same store as nicotine products... The shop I work at is a commercial duplex with apartments above and both stores sharing a common backroom storage area. The boss rented the place next door to a company that would receive and store your medicinal herb products for you so you didn't have to pick them up at the post office or keep them at home for whatever reason. They could connect you with a licensed practitioner if needed and seemed to be a great little business until the RCMP had a look and found stuff in the safe that shouldn't have been there. It always seems to be the case with the dispensaries down here. So needless to say they closed and that space will now be used for the selling of flavor shots. It has to be a physically separate business from the other one. We'll see how that works out, he already pays rent on both stores so might as well put it to use. There is another shop that is a vape/head shop so they are going to sell the juice shots as flavored b o n g water additive (I can't believe that word is banned), their shops are not separate but closed off from each other by a door. Grey area stuff for sure but the first inspection will determine if it's kosher or not.

The latest fly in the vaping ointment is the insurance company that provides business insurance to our shop is not insuring vape shops anymore. So that left the boss scrambling to try and find another company who would at a reasonable price, more and more are choosing not to.

When I started trying ecigs (late 2012) green smoke was the only thing available locally at 18mg IIRC and they left me wanting a smoke. Very early 2013 I met someone that ordered their stuff from MVS and guided me to ECF. I ordered a mod, 48mg/ml, and 36mg/ml. Chain vaping 36 with occasional 48 got me through it. Tried WTA a few weeks later and it made me want a smoke even more so PIF'ed it.

Not a thing yet... Most of our customers order direct from the juice companies since the ban. There is talk about regulating interprovince shipments of nicotine or nicotine based products. The government has already worked out a lot of the grey area details to future proof legislation.

Days are numbered, the vape tax is going to be a Canada wide thing so be prepared. It will be on more than just juice too. ;)

We will all turn into crazy vape preppers, and National Geographic might do a series on us like they did with those other loons.

For. Me it’s. Just as well. I’m looking for a good reason to quit! The hassle of. Batteries. Making juice. Rebuilding coils. Can get to you after awhile :(
It would be so nice to just be a non smoker. Period!
My. Nic intake is real low. I’m hoping it won’t be too hard to. Kick it :)

But that's exactly what they want you to do Steamer861, they want you to cave in. They know nicotine increases your thought processes and keeps things like alzheimer's at bay. But they don't want you to be that way. They want you hopelessly on antidepressants to live in a mind fog for the rest of your life and to bend over every time they ask. And you're ok with that?

P.S. Juice? Oh thanks for reminding me, I need to make some juice in the next day or two. ;)

Government agencies, for the most part, just want your tax dollars......

The Devil Weed became an Angelic Herb once they started raking in boatloads of tax $$.

They already tax vaping with more vape taxes on the way. And they still won't be happy until it is banned altogether. Remember what Cuomo said when he was told that vaping saves lives? He said: "So!"

By the way, the devil's weed and CBD are still illegal in Wisconsin. But they do tax vape products.

Different provinces are going about it in different ways, here in Ontario nothing has changed Yet! Yet being the definitive word. Me wanting to quit has nothing to do with the rules or the powers that be, I all-way just wanted vaping to be a vehicle to achieve Non Smoker Status :)
