The plates on my new car was in the $500 area, I wonder how much for this one, the fee is based on the value of the car and a few other charges.

If you want to see silly plate prices, Dubai has sequentially numbered plates starting from #1. I read somewhere that a guy bought #5 for $200K to put on his hypercar, just another commodity to trade in. If #1 ever came up it would go for millions...

I started playing around with virtual machines again yesterday on this Pentium 4415U. So I installed VirtualBox and the VB runs ok, but it won't launch any VM. Can't do anything in the settings of any VM either as the OK button is grayed out. Maybe it needs a more powerful processor?

While searching for a module I saw some that would operate the existing low beam headlamp, this was when I was searching for the 2nd module that I bought. I think that if I hadn't already bought the LED bulbs I would have gone that route.

No pack ice today! it was 30 degrees, going up to 32 tomorrow it was snowing just a few weeks ago & today, full on Summer! The joys of living in Canada Eh

I managed to get a half litre of juice made, hey I still had almost 30 ml left this time.

Today I used the oven to make some "out of a big carton" scalloped potatoes. When the potatoes were done I put in a couple of cherry turnovers that are already baked. They come from a grocery deli and a bit limp out of the box. Oh man were they good when all crispy as intended.

I tried again using mikepetro method of selecting you are using a meter connection to stop downloading updates. I didn't like it before since OneDrive paused when metered. Although I found out you can tell OneDrive to sync anyway in settings, so all is good again.

Disabling the Windows Update service doesn't work since once per day, Microsoft turns it back on. I tried to figure out what time they do this and I have learned there isn't one. Just once per day at any time is all I know. I don't like people I don't know messing around my machines. Worse, once they mess around, things don't always work right anymore.

Something you might want to do is to block the update sites on your router or with a DNS proxy like Acrylic. The Windows Hosts file will not take wildcard entries so that is why you need a DNS proxy.

Just point all of these to 127.0.0.1 and your updates will stop.
