I guess maybe yesterday the Governor of California issued an order that face masks be worn in public, I guess I'll have to put one on even though I'm just going out to the parking lot and won't be near anyone. They tend to steam up my glasses. Up till now I only used one when near people (other than family)

I got the Odin 250c to bring to work, but I haven't, they just sit here on my desk collecting dust! I'm still using my old 3D printed 4S lipo work mods.
I haven't been working really long days, but have yet to run out of battery, out in the field :)
I sure got my moneys worth out of those 2 mods! I put them together when the 250c was first released & besides all the screens they have worked flawlessly :)

I guess if I was having board issues it mite be different! The screens isn't that big of an issue for me, I can change one out in minutes now :) I stocked up last buy & I will continue to swap them out if need be :) I cant blame Evolv for the screens, I'm sure they out source them.

I'm pretty much fed up with the C series screen problems and board problems. When I run out of boards, or screens, they're all getting retired, 4S or not.
Not much a 4S will do than a 3S, another 100 watts if you feel that you need that.

Well headlights are installed. I had a bit of a problem with the first one (passenger side), while the plugs are idiot proof for the most part I found the one that wasn't. That's the one that used to plug on the headlight bulb, it powers the ballast now and can be plugged in either way but only one way works. Actually the driver's side was the easiest...once you remove the air filter box and that couldn't be any easier. It appears that I didn't need the cancelers or relay and could have modified the original dust covers. When I go to work I'll find out if it's finished. Maybe I better take the old bulbs with me.

Well my headlights work pretty good but during the process I have some what educated myself on the subject. For example, most of the under $100 kits sold are all the same brand...no brand, even if they appear to have one. I paid $80 for the kit plus $60 for two spare bulbs that I got and found what appears to be the same kits all the way down to $29.95 and bulbs for $17 a pair.
Now if I had it to do over again I would have bought this kit and two spare bulbs and it would have been $35 dollars more than I paid, from here:
9005: Morimoto Elite
This kit comes with the relay, actually two of them, one for each ballast.
I'm starting to feel pretty stupid but not to worry, I'll get over it as it has happened plenty of times before.
Alibaba must sell a lot of them.

A few days ago when I got to work I was greeted by this big bag of stuff sitting in my chair.
Many things were in it but here is what I kept: A never used Seagate 320 gb 2.5 GoFlex portable USB 2.0 hard drive, a Samsung camcorder and a Sony camcorder.

sony dcr dvd403.jpg

And a 90 watt power supply that works with my laptop, the rest is still sitting here but not for long, I want to go through it once more.

I have on my mind to make some egg salad for sandwiches. I have never made it before butlooks real simple. I need like one stalk of celery and a couple green onions. I need to buy a roast or something to make use of the rest of the celery. I'm not sure if I want to pay the going rate for beef or not. Might end up with chicken soup, who knows.

Sitting down, facing forward.
The thing that bugs me about the C series is the failure rate. My original DNA200 is still running fine after all this time, over four years. The same is true of the ERM+s and ERM clones. Heck, even a Kanger DNA75 is still going after about three years while the Cs have all failed, in one way or another, in less than a year. The Cs are all in AlpineTech boxes so the cradle gets glued in (I hate screws showing on the face of a mod) so that means spending time with an Xacto knife getting the cradle out, then gluing it back in again. That's a big PITA.

The failures have been almost consistent, 75Cs have board and screen failures and the 250Cs have screen failures. Sometimes they've failed within a month of being replaced which is really frustrating. While Evolv may not be making the screens, in house, they are selecting who makes them (think quality). It happens to both the Mrs and me and we are both very careful to not have any leaks, or liquids of any type, getting onto the boards or even inside the mods. I'm just tired of doing the same things over and over again.

I do like the replay feature, but it just isn't worth the hassle of replacing boards and screens. In terms of functionality, we both use the same settings on our mods and rarely have to connect to Escribe unless we get curious about a particular coil/wick build so the additional menu items of the Cs, while nice, just aren't all that useful to us.

Not everybody has had the same experience. I didn't check my list, but I can think of 16 "C" DNAs I have right off of the bat. Not a lick of any problems except one had a Battery Management IC failed. I prefer "C" versions over non when I have a choice.

Non "C" series, I haven't been as fortunate. Three of them had a failed Battery Management IC. Although I own three times more non "C" DNAs. I also never had a screen failure on any DNA. Yet I have stocked dozens of spare screens because of all of the screen failures I have heard of. How I managed to never have a DNA40 screen failure, I'll never know. And I have five DNA40 mods. My Railbox does have a DNA40 and the resistance reading is all over the place. Don't know if it is the board or the mod. But it vapes just fine in watts or TC modes.

Are all of your "C" boards early revisions? Same for the screens? I waited purchasing "C" boards until Evolv got most of the bugs out. I did so with the DNA40s too. Today I haven't heard of any problems except some Centaurus and Odin mods suffer from Battery Management IC failures. But you also still have Evolv's warranty if that does happen. It might be worth a shot to take another look at them. ;)

I need to buy a roast or something to make use of the rest of the celery.
A whole roast to get rid of the celery? That concave spot holds cream cheese or peanut butter or cheez wiz just fine in my house. An if you hate those long stringy bits, a sharp pairing knife works wonders.

Are you/they just replacing the screens? Damn, I think after 2 screen swaps, I'd want new boards.

For me, no Color BOARD issues. Just LV's build quality issues, crud in the 510 assemblies mainly (for years)
Regular 2XX boards. All only on my one and only VT133. Wifey put batteries in upside down and blew the BMIC. Once while plugged in I was distracted I pulled the batteries. Dead. But no board issues.

Hey that is my secret tuna salad recipe. Just swap tuna for eggs. :D

Walmart's egg salad does add a lot more ingredients. It ain't bad.

The HCigar VT133 blew the BMIC when the batteries were inserted wrong? That isn't suppose to happen on the VT133 because HCigar added reverse battery protection. I know it works because I and others has inserted batteries in backwards.
