Instead of using an 18650 battery holder (by the way I have a low profile 18650 battery holder made to mount on a PCB that might fit too), to use these instead.

One of each end of the cell with an attached battery lead and silicone seal each end and you're all set.

That could also be an option, Bill :) I feel that a proper 18650 sled will fit? As soon as I can, I will try.
Maybe I can explain my disappointment a little better, For MTL an 18650 if fine! It could easily last all day :)
This is a 75c! with much more capability than just a simple MTL mod, with the rite battery (2X700) it could have been way more! :)

Well it was a few days back that I made this blunder though I just discovered it just now. I twisted up a couple feet of Unkamen's 28 gauge SS430....I thought.
I actually twisted up some Unkamen's 26 gauge SS317L by mistake. Today I made my first coil with it and was baffled as to why the resistance was much lower than expected. My 6" digital calipers to the rescue. It's a pretty big ID, around 3.25 mm, installed in my TGT4 @ 55 watts powered with Paramour SBS.
This is my genuine TGT, the only way I can tell it from the Ulton one is by the serial numbers.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I use WD Purple drives, they're optimized for surveillance, IE constant writing. Speed isn't that big of a problem. I am using a small, 500G, WD for storing alerts for two specific cameras since those alerts are not being constantly written and it was laying around doing nothing. All the other cameras record 24/7 so that means they are constantly writing 18 streams. Whatever you buy if you're recording 24/7 format the drive with a block size of 1024 rather than the default of 4K to minimize fragmentation and never defrag a video surveillance storage drive or scan it for viruses. Either one will take an extremely long time, as in a day or two.
