That will never happen in Ontario or Alberta" is the standard comment...:w00t:
The flavor ban is going Canada wide too, another thing that wouldn't happen in Ontario or Alberta either.

100mg nic has been out lawed in Ontario for a while now! But still available if you know where to look :)
If & when the demand increases the Natives will start selling DIY nic on the reserve! No one can say any thing to them about it! They have been selling cheap smokes for ever, & even weed now, well below the going rate at the legal stores!

Are they called Reservations like they call them in the US Steamer861? There is one about 50 miles from me, but I don't know if they sell tobacco or anything (I've never been there). Some people go there because of the casino I've been told. But that is about all I know.

I also know US law enforcement has sting operations which wait for you to leave the Reservation and then bust you for having something illegal. Something else I don't much know about since I don't go there. They also do it where something is legal in a state but see you have out of state plates on your vehicle and then bust you when you cross state lines. Something else I heard about.

Supposedly you can grow your own tobacco (up to a given amount) for personal use in the US. And I have a vague idea how to extract nicotine from tobacco to use in your own e-juice. I suppose I (and we) may need to learn how to do this once our supplies are gone. :(

Well they like to be call "First Nation Territory" But every body calls it the ReZ! When I quite smoking you could buy a $90 carton of Premium quality Canadian cigarettes for $68 on the ReZ!

Unfortunately my wife still smokes, I pay $10 for a carton of Denim German American style cigarettes at the duty free store just on this side of the border. They must cross into Mexico......but my friend crosses them back when he crosses again. Gee, I've posted this before but it goes to show just how much of the cost is taxes.

The first e-cigarettes I've seen was in 2010 I believe. My cousin stopped by and she was using a cigalike. And she seemed happy with it and I thought that was neat but I didn't check them out any further. In 2014 I was going to a local grocery store to buy RYO cigarettes then, I could buy 1lb of tobacco and 400 tubes for 20 bucks. That was about two cartons worth.

Well one of my trips to the grocery store in 2014, I noticed they also had some e-cigarettes behind the counter. So I asked the girl some questions and it was clear she didn't know anything about them. So I picked blindly and picked up a cigalike, an eGo, a CE4 cartridge, and a 10ml bottle of juice. And that was enough to peek my interest in vaping and I've been vaping ever since. :D

BillW50 even I watched you fire up that second laptop

$20 bucks, loose in a ziploc baggie, free stems and bits of sticks

in my area, one (at least) local cop owned an illegal weed store on the rez close by. The head cops said they consulted the lawyers and there was nothing they could do.

It's a hefty fine down here if you are caught with a bag of cigarettes from the reserve. Anything can be purchased illegally and will always be that way. The retailers are the ones that suffer, it's getting harder to find juice suppliers that will charge the NS Vape on our orders. It's just too much hassle for them because of the size of the market down here, just not worth their time.

I haven't smoked in a long time, but back when I did, We call those "Bag Smokes" they were $15 a bag of 200 smokes. I couldn't smoke them! they were really harsh! :(

Here no one say any thing about it! Back when I smoked, some days there was a parade of Cars going in & out buying smokes. I wasn't aware you could be fined? I used to buy Du Maurier, So unless they caught you coming out of the ReZ, how could they even tell, even then I could have bought them any where :)

They sell all kinds of thing you can't get any were else! Fire crackers have been illegal for ever, they sell them!
My point was, even if made illegal some one will still sell it! Here on the Rez, rite out in the open! they even have road sings advertising :)

20mill cap seems like they are targeting the Juul Type vapes & the DIY crowd

It still sucks that they aren't on the "Harm Reduction" side, instead of regulation :(

There are different brands. Some harsh and some not.

I never purchased Canadian smokes, but don't they use tax stickers like they do in the US? In the US, there are usually two of them, one Federal and one state. And there can be county and city tax stickers too. On the Reservations, they have no tax stickers. At an US military PX, there is only a Federal tax sticker.

Here the ReZ smokes were the same as the more expensive ones! I would often run out & have to buy a pack or two at the gas station, no difference, except Price! A single 25 pack was $11 when I quit, I heard they are closer to $20 now. Canadian smokes come wrapped in sulfane the tax sticker was applied before they wrapped them :)
We had 2 kinds of "Bag Smokes" White & Brown tipped. If you dumped out the tobacco they were both full of sticks & garbage, the premium brands had nice consistent tobacco!
I'm sure it was rejected tobacco from the premium smokes, they used to make them :(

Reminds me of all I got left are twigs and seeds.

The commercial tobacco companies use recom (sticks and stuff that falls on the floor) except they grind it up to be put in the spray tank to be recombined with the chopped leaf tobacco. That is the tank where all the other chemicals are added as well.

The history channel made a video following the manufacturing process talking to the production people at a cigarette company. It should be still floating around on the net, it is bad quality and looked to be recorded from a TV with a camcorder. Very enlightening as to what makes up a tailor made smoke.
