Well my 10 year old desktop finally went south. anybody had a problem after the latest iphone update? could be a coincidence but my laptop stopped recognizing the 6s right after installing 14.7.1

all's well again - apparently it was a failed windows update wreaking havoc. after a restart that lasted 2 hours - getting windows ready - i'm back in business and so is the 6s

Well I ended up canceling my order with Best Buy. I'm having one built by the local shop where I use to buy a lot of computer parts. It will be ready in a few hours. None of that proprietary stuff. Approx. $175 more than Best Buy's deal and I'll get what I want. I had to pay for the Windows license, first time for that except when it came installed in a couple laptops.
