I hope to actually start reloading sometime this winter. I'm surprised there isn't a readily available polymer diy "mix" (similar to Syntech ammo) out there for plinking reloads. If I decide to get a .460 Rowland conversion for my 1911, I'd definitely consider casting my own bullets.

That .460 looks very impressive, those are some impressive speeds coming out of a 1911! Price isn't all that bad either, may have to consider this. :thumb:

That coating is like the Syntech, for some years now guys were powder coating bullets and there was much controversy over whether it was harmful to the bore but no one ever showed it was. Then the Hi-Tek shake and bake on coating started being sold here in the USA, much easier then powder coating and it's a different coating. It's been very popular in Australia for the last 20 years where it's made, now finally ammo companies have taken notice and are offering ammo with coated bullets but they use their own coatings. This Hi-Tec that I'm going to use can be purchased here Hi-Tek Powder Coatings You can get it premixed in liquid form but most guys buy the powder, keeps longer and easy to mix, comes in a wide variety of colors and they keep coming up with more.

There is a long thread on the castboolits.gunloads dot com forum titled "simple Hi-Tek coating". Not sure if it's OK to post a link here but if you can't find it in a search PM me. There is also a section on reloading there so you may find that helpful too. There are advertisement links on the top of the pages and a vendor section for companies that sell cast bullets with this coating for those that don't cast their own. Cast bullets saves a lot of money when reloading and these coated are much better in many ways then the traditional lubed.

Well then there better prices out there then I thought. I haven't used either one yet, if you were getting ready to buy some, would you go with the $8 for two HE2's or spend a little more on the 25r's? Only mods I use them in is my 40's and 75's and I don't push em hard at all, looking for longer run time then high amp draw.

I haven't bought new 18650s in over a year. Looks like the prices went up a bit on Amazon. Both HE2 and 25r are good. The 25r are supposed to be slightly better so I bought some to try out but I don't notice a difference at all. Both have been very good batteries.

You might want to look at some LG HG2 3000mah batteries for longer run time. I have enough 18650s and I've been using lipos lately which is why I haven't bought new ones in a while.

Somebody is making a small fortune.
Dipping toothpicks in ejuice.
Not a bad idea I guess.

Pixotine™ The Original Nicotine Toothpick™

"PIXOTINE™ does not market or intend its products to be used or sold as a smoking cessation aid or form of nicotine replacement therapy. PIXOTINE™ products are not intended to treat, cure or prevent any disease. The US FDA has not evaluated PIXOTINE™"

Bet they "evaluate" something now

BTW, how do those not taste awful?

Big pharma will squash those, competition to their gum and patches. Hope they know that with these new regs these tooth picks are now considered a tobacco product. Like the idea, when I'm going someplace where I won't be able to vape I take a small dipper bottle of juice, when I get the urge I'll put a couple drops on my tongue, wait a few minuets and repeat until the urge is gone.
