Just for giggles I thought I'd check to see if they had more hotcig dx200's cheap on ecig.com, well they have them but now the price is $150 Hotcig DX200 DNA Kit | Ecig.com Strange, wonder why they dump so many dirt cheap only to raise the price back up. BTW, they still have battery's in all three colors for $20.

I've been gone for nearly 2 weeks and only had 10 pages to catch up on. Thoroughly enjoyed the coffee... ;)

Yeah ECF in general appears to have been killed off by the Deeming and action in this thread seems to have died out once users realized that Evolv CO-OPS went the way of the DoDo.

Sadly my Hotcigs DX200 stopped charging last week. Not sure if it's the battery or the dna board. The battery recovery monitor in escribe shows all three cells at @ 3.54v but not charging.
No one around here has a known good batt for me to try so I guess I'm stuck unless I drop $20.

Pretty sure it was Slick that had the same problem & it was the pins from the board being soldered on too short to make proper connection to the battery. He desoldered the JST, adjusted it & re-soldered to fix it didn't he?

Well there was another issue that started first, one cell reading low, but yes I found on some hotcigs the jst pins were soldered shorter on the board then others. It looked like hotcig started having problems with the short pins and changed how they were making them. The short pins made it hard for the battery jst to make a good connection, they started soldering them on farther out from the board and they put spacers under the plastic jst body on the board, I resoldered the mods I had with the shorter pins.

But if cigatron has all cells showing low, it may be another issue. Still, if it was me I'd make sure the pins were soldered on longer and fix it if they weren't. I had a few posts with better descriptions and pics earlier in this thread, I'll try to find them and post links. When I lost a hard drive a couple weeks ago I lost a lot of those pics along with a lot of other important files. :(

Thanks, I'll check the jst pins. Here's the order of events that happened, maybe you can tell me if you think it's the board or the batt?
1. Fire button stuck and ran the batt down too low to charge (below 3.1v per cell)
2. Ran batt recovery in escribe, all was well for a week.
3. Battery charge symbol stopped coming on when plugged in and charge current showed .01amps. Still charged at normal rate though (about 2.5 hrs to full charge).
4. Same as #3 but now won't charge or recover in escribe. All three cells at 3.4x volts.

So what do you think folks, board or batt?
