This has been published before by Evolv, but it sure is a testament for accurate temperature control. Notice that at around 470 degrees Acetaldehyde (a carcinogen) increases like a sky rocket very quickly, double what is found in a cigarette. At 530 and up it gets as much as ten times that of a cigarette.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Today must be my lucky day! I ordered 2 postless decks for my 25mm Supremes Nov6th 2016
I just got the notice cards they will be available for pick up at the post office tomorrow.
Only 2 months & 10 days!

Was out, pardon the expression, working today for a change so I'm late but...what amazes me is the person taking the video and not just giving the box a quick flip to get it going. There's a worker who really "cares" about his job and the company he works for.

Guess I need to start trying to lower my temp a bit more.

Is it safe to consider this a hint of things to come from them?

With Evolv, all bets are off.....

However, I would be willing to wager money that they are looking beyond their current market offerings.

That being said, they did do the research for, and publish, this graph. And several others. It is obvious they are looking at the temperature/by-product relationship.

Always pictured them as becoming an authority for testing for the FDA in the Evaluation of equipment for market approval.
It is public knowledge that they have an ongoing project with the NIH (National Institutes of Health) to develop equipment to use for scientific grade vaping research.

Do you get E-Packet Shipping?
My 30mm Supreme is all ready on its way to Canada from China, it was shipped Jan 11th :)
Shipped 1/3 via Singapore Post which is usually faster than e-packet for me. Landed in the US on 1/14 but no update on USPS tracking.

Me either :) I heard he has a gas engine powered coffee bean grinder :)
LS powered?

Its a by-product of heating (burning) ejuice. Inconsequential amounts at 450f and below, significant amounts above 470. It occurs naturally in minute amounts, but larger amounts :

It has been shown to increase the risk of developing cirrhosis of the liver, multiple forms of cancer, and alcoholism.
acetaldehyde | CH3CHO - PubChem

Did not know that, good golly thank you for posting it. It's only been recently I've started going above 430 which has been my max temp since I started using DNA's. I like the bigger clouds I get when I bump it up to 460-480. but I'll gladly give that up and take it back down to 430 and stick with it. I read the 600 mark was when danger started and I'd never go that high, now I know that was wrong. I've been through one round of cancer and got lucky, I don't want to go through it again, might not be so lucky next time......

You know I did a lot of reading way back when I started TC & I thought Acetaldehyde & Formaldehyde weren't an issue until 550 - 600 deg. Guessing I got to go back & do some more reading & reeducate myself now that more accurate testing is occurring.

470 is much lower than I thought.

Just want to say I'm glad you got through your cancer. That's awesome!

Also thought it's important to say that temp control is only an exact science when all the planets are aligned ie in order for your coil temp to match your set temp everything has to be perfect.
There are some variables that can throw temp off, way off. Base res, wire tcr, mod tcr programming and atomizer res stability to name a few.
Just a small change of 0.01 ohms can skew actual coil temps by 80°f. Some mods I've owned have known 100°f high temp reading when using certain wire types.
If you really want to know if all the planets are aligned with your set up you can do a dry cotton browning test (420°f) or a water boil test (212°f /compensating for elevation)
For me just making sure my vapor is not hot is enough.ymmv.

Evolv's testing was using NI coils. Brandon swears that a properly connected NI coil, on a quality atty, on a DNA (60 and up) achieves an accuracy of +/- 4 degrees. I dont have the technology to prove or disprove it.

One of the things that made me turn to Evolv TC products was watching the video's Phil did when he toured their factory and interviewed Brandon and John. They were striving to make the safest vaping boards they could, I was very impressed on how dedicated they were/are. Add in their attitude toward those of us who like to build their own mods, their customer service and view that hey, everyone screws up a board now and then and they don't have a problem taking care of someone who does. My move to TC was with Evolv, all I use is DNA's, and I plan to be a customer for life. I feel using their products, I'm getting boards that will give me the safest vape I can get, using them and the rest of the gear is up to me but at least I have the utmost confidence in my mods. I vaped them all during my radiation treatments without hesitation, well also with the blessings of two oncologists who told me it was OK to keep on vaping. ;) I'm still here and cancer free. Really happy to know about these recommend max temps, again I thank you Mike for posting that! :)
